Nya seemed to be falling in love with Chuck as he told her his stories. Jay noticed this and used Beautea to make himself handsome, but Chuck shocked him with his joy buzzer.

- He has a similar appearance to various other LEGO characters:
- He resembles the Surfer from Minifigures Series 2, which may connect to his stories involving sea creatures.
- He has the same hairpiece as Cole (before Sons of Garmadon) and Lar, in a similar color to Lar's.
- He has the same overall face design as Benton and Fenwick, originally used on Aragorn from LEGO The Lord of the Rings. Unlike the others, however, Chuck has lighter eyebrows and no lines under his eyes.
- He has a similar appearance to Lance from Nexo Knights.
- His name is the same as the nickname Cole gave to one of Yang's students.
