Moe's design resembles that of Murt, albeit lacking the armor occasionally used by Murt, who is often seen without it, thereby giving him a striking resemblance to Moe in the show.
- According to the Character Encyclopedia New Edition, the similarities between Murt and Moe imply a familial connection between the two.
He is one of the seven notable Ninjago minifigures to have the ponytail hairpiece, the other six being Nadakhan, Ultra Violet, Daddy No Legs, Richie, Murt, and PoulErik.
He is the only Master of the Mountain character to appear in the sets but not in the show.
