Vlad Tutu is a dance instructor. He taught Jay, Nya, Antonia, and Nelson in his dance class.

Let's Dance[]

Vlad Tutu arrives at his class, saying that his students will learn balance and technique quickly or they would be smushed like ants on the floor. Jay, Nya, and the other students get onto the dance floor and begin dancing. Later Tutu praises Jay for his dancing but says Nya ruins Jay's form and that she stop looking at his feet. Jay glares annoyed at Tutu for his insult.

Etymology

Etymology[]

According to its Slavic origin, the meaning of Vlad is "to rule" or "glorious rule." His last name, Tutu, is the name of a female ballet dancer's costume.

  • Whenever he moves swiftly, the "smear frame" technique is used, in which an animated character is stretched out to give the illusion of motion blur. This technique is used more often after the transfer to WildBrain for animation, though it is especially noticeable on this character if one slows down the video.
  • He has the same hairpiece as Smythe and Plundar, originally used on the Dog Show Winner from Minifigures Series 16.
