Almost nothing is really known about Yello Beez's life. The only certain things are that at some point he decided to study the ninja arts with an unknown master, deciding to become a ninja. Along the way, Yello Beez performed many actions that made him a hero, to the extent that he is considered one of the best ninjas in all of Ninjago.

Due to his occupation as a ninja, Yello Beez always wore a simple, single-color ninja suit with a hood, as well as a characteristic Takuhatsugasa-style straw hat; both pieces were designed to completely conceal his identity.

Yello Beez's exploits earned him great fame in Ninjago, giving rise to several legends about his enigmatic figure. It is even said that he once used the Glacial Stars, a rare but powerful set of shurikens with the power of Earth and the precision of Ice.[1]
