Plot
Plot[]
While the other ninjas explore the Mechanic's HQ, Jay reaches the thirteenth level of "Prime Empire" and accepts a mysterious voice's invitation to enter the arcade. He finds himself in Terra Technica, where he is greeted by one of the salespeople. He notices an electric guitar and wants to buy it, but the salesperson explains that he doesn't have enough money. Immediately after, a siren sounds, and numerous Red Visors emerge to hunt the ninja.
Jay manages to escape into the trunk of a car, where he watches through a crack as its owner fights off the same robots, then climbs into the car and drives away. Initially, the driver manages to knock down a couple of pursuing cars, but then a third appears, sending Jay flying onto the hood. The car's owner helps the ninjas and then introduces himself as Scott. He drives the hero to an invisible garage, after which they hear explosions outside.
Scott explains that the resistance forces are fighting the Red Visors to free the inhabitants of Prime Empire. Scott doesn't want to go outside, as he only has one life left, but Jay immediately decides to help the resistance. When the ninja realizes he has no abilities in the game, not even the ability to use Spinjitzu, he escapes with the others across the rooftops. The rebels tell Jay that he needs to improve his stamina and help him with his tasks.
The Lightning Ninja rescues a cat from a tree, destroys rocks, and then, together with the resistance forces, defeats the robbers. He thanks his comrades for showing him everything he needs to know in the game, and they offer him the opportunity to repay their help by becoming the leader of the resistance. Jay declines, as he needs to return to the real world, and the resistance members escape through a hatch. The Red Visors, who had been spying on them, call for reinforcements.
Noticing numerous robots, Jay realizes the Resistance has been followed and runs to Scott for help. Scott takes him to a store and shows him a controller that can transform into any weapon. Jay buys the weapon and virtual armor, then, together with Scott, makes his way to the prison where the Red Visors have taken all the captured Resistance members. This time, Jay manages to defeat all the opponents with his new weapon.
The Resistance thanks Jay for saving them, after which Scott offers them a secret room under the garage as a new hideout. That evening, a victory party is held at the new hideout, with everyone wearing Jay's avatars. The Resistance members call themselves the "League of Jay" and offer their leader an electric guitar he likes as a gift. In his new guise, he is dubbed Superstar Rocker Jay, and the party continues.
Trivia
Trivia[]
- The book shows some Whack Rats as a part of the resistance against the Red Visors, which was never featured in the show.
Errors[]
- During the ending, Scott implied that he hadn't installed the Level 999 Stealth Barrier for his garage yet, despite it being already installed before the events of Season 12.
