Overview
Card 18 - Mech Jay is one of many Character cards in the LEGO Ninjago Trading Card Game.
Character cards are a type of card used in the LEGO Ninjago Trading Card Game.
How to use
How to use[]
Character cards are placed on the game board in reading direction to their user. When a battle is initiated with a neighboring Character card, the card with the higher value on their adjacent side wins the duel. The losing Character card is then rotated 180° to now be in reading direction of the winner.
Some Character cards have additional effects which become valid once placed on the board, or as specified on the card. Along with every other card from the LEGO Ninjago Trading Card Game, Character cards must follow the Golden Rule: whenever a card's text directly contradicts the game rules, the card takes precedence.

Special-release cards
Special-release cards[]
Although most Character cards are obtainable in Boosters, some are only released as bundled with certain products.
Limited Edition cards[]
Limited Edition cards can be distinguished from regular cards by their number, which always starts with "LE" (standing for "Limited Edition"). Limited Edition cards are used just as regular Character cards are; there's no functional difference between Limited Edition cards and Character cards found in Boosters.
Limited Edition cards have been known to be distributed in Starter Packs, Blisters, Multipacks, Extra-packs, Tins, Duel Boxes, Advent Calendars, Shopper Bags, issues of the Ninjago Magazine, and as gift-with-purchases (all varying across different regions' releases). For each product which has been known to include Limited Edition cards, it is often made clear which Limited Edition card is included.
