  • His minifigure design later inspired the appearance of the TV series' Rufus McCallister from Season 9 onwards.
  • His T-shirt is a reference to Galidor, a failed LEGO theme introduced in 2002.
  • Unlike the released minifigure and the original character in the TV series, Rufus in the movie does not use a ponytail hair piece, but the classic short hair, for example used by Cliff Gordon.
