- During the festival, there are lanterns hung throughout the city.
- The festival is very similar to the Dragon Day festival, using red/orange lanterns and the same giant dragon puppets.
- According to a news reporter, nowhere in Ninjago is the New Year Festival celebrated with as much enthusiasm as the former City of Stiix.
