Designer's notes[]

(Check out the notes on 40703: Micro NINJAGO City for more context on the development of Micro NINJAGO City as a whole~)

I don't have much to elaborate on this one, as it was developed simultaneously with the other first half year products, I also didn't get to finalize this one and instead my colleague Florian took over to optimize the build and get it down to price.

One little detail that I would like to point out is the roof of the leftmost building (as shown on the box) - in the real NINJAGO City Docks the roof was chopped off on one side to facilitate the modularity, which I always find it to be such a pity, so when I was sketching up this microscale one, I came up with the 1x2 plate with bars for the roof connection, so that you can have the whole roof centered when displayed on its own, and just slide it slightly to the right if you decide to connect it next to another set that has something in the way - and I'm glad that feature survived in the final set![2]
