The Cruel Lord[1] is a lord who enslaves innocent peasants in Ninjago.

The Mask of Deception[]
The Cruel Lord ordered his men to make the peasants of the rice paddy work harder. When noticing one who was not working, he demanded her to bring him water. The peasant revealed herself to be Nya, the Water Ninja, to the fear of his men. He ordered them to attack her, but they failed. He then tried to attack her himself with his sword, only to be easily defeated and cast down a river along with his men.
