The monster lion is a monster from the Land of Monsters.

The monster lion attacked a cave where Kai, Rexa, and Trexx were sheltering in, believing that any of the three had stolen its diamond. When Kai rebuffed the claim, the lion doubled down and retorted that Kai must be the thief for he was wearing a mask. Although the lion attempted to attack the ninja and the Trexxs, it was driven back by an acid ball spit out by Rexa, plummeting it off a cliff.
