Whales are large undersea mammals living in the Endless Sea.

History

History[]

Before the First Spinjitzu Master created Ninjago, Nyad used water to control whales. During the Battle of Nine Days, she rode the one of them.

Shadow of Ronin (non-canon)[]

Cole, Jay, and Dareth encountered a whale while searching for the Elemental Forge of Ice. Believing that they had angered the whale, Dareth tried speaking to it, explaining the ninja's mission and purpose for being around its home. The whale then agreed to assist the ninja in their search.

On a Wish and a Prayer[]

The following events were undone due to Jay's final wish, and thus, did not happen in the current timeline.

Dolphins jump out of the water while the ninja travel across the Endless Sea to Tiger Widow Island.

The following events occurred after Jay made his final wish, and thus, happened.

Riddle of the Sphinx[]

Benthomaar asks Nya if she can use her power to summon whales, but she denies it. However, she does try and eventually summons many whales.

Master of the Sea[]

With the assistance of the whales towing the Hydro Bounty, the ninja were able to return to Ninjago City just in time to fight against Kalmaar and his attempt at escaping with the Storm Amulet. When the wicked king dove into the water to escape, Nya commanded a whale to assist her in pursuit.

The Calm Before the Storm (flashback)[]

Nya recalled the moment she rode a whale in pursuit of Kalmaar and the Storm Amulet.

The Turn of the Tide[]

Nya was swimming with the whales near the surface of the Endless Sea.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie[]

Garmadon's Garma Mecha Man is revealed to contain dolphins in its ankle holster. When Lloyd puts Garmadon at gunpoint with the Ultimate Weapon, Garmadon is forced to drain his mech of all of the various weapons, including the dolphins.
