The Shadow Dragon is an Elemental Dragon, a creature able to be summoned by an Elemental Master of Shadow after facing their fears.

The Day of the Dragon[]

Shade unlocked his Elemental Dragon along with the other Elemental Masters to get back to Ninjago in order to stop the Anacondrai Cultists.

When the Elemental Masters confronted Chen's noodle trucks outside Ninjago City, Shade summoned his Elemental Dragon to aid him in the impending battle. However, when the trucks began to split up, Shade was ordered to go after one of the trucks. After discovering the truck to be empty, Shade was overcome with fear and lost control of his Elemental Dragon.
