Plot

Plot[]

Killow leads some Red Crows to scare off the bears from Glimwillow Forest, proclaiming it theirs and that Ninjago City is next. Unsure of himself since last night, Garmadon intended to leave when Kenzo, Renzo, Saeko, Min and the Two Moon Village Commandos approach him. He believes they want him to thank them and tells them that they should not expect it, but Saeko reassures him that Min only wanted to give him his hat back, rather than keep it for herself. Garmadon then went on about not wanting to help them fight Mogra and save Two Moon Village, but Kenzo and Renzo believe it is best he didn't get involved. Accepting their opinion, Garmadon bids them farewell and start to leave, only for Min to reach him and hug him before telling him that if he can't help being bad, he doesn't have to be evil and leaves to catch up with the others, hoping she meets him again when the situation is resolved.

While trekking through the forest, Garmadon is encountered by the scarred bear he once fought. Believing it was back for revenge, Garmadon prepared to fight back before stopping when he noticed the bear had fresh wounds. A closer inspection revealed motorcycle tracks all over the ground and many bears hiding behind trees in fear, making Garmadon realize the scarred bear was defending its home, something he could relate to. Meanwhile, at their camp, the villagers were forming a plan to liberate the village, with Bron intending to use some dynamite to blow a wall. Just that moment, Garmadon, riding atop the scarred bear, arrived with the rest of the bears. He then informed the villagers that he had a better use for their dynamite.

That better use was to blow up part of Kuma's lair to free Kuma from the rubble she had been buried under. As Bron and Shu set up the sticks of dynamite, Min cheekily questioned Garmadon's intentions for helping them again, though Garmadon denied the implications of the girl's questions, insisting that he only sought revenge against Mogra. Bron then detonated the explosives, liberating Kuma. Upon doing so, Kuma demanded to know who freed her, before being surprised to see bears and humans working together. Saeko explained the situation with the Red Crows and asks for Kuma's help. Unfortunately, Kuma refused because the villagers were allied with the Oni, Garmadon. After Min's insistence, Garmadon attempted to convince Kuma to join them, but only succeeded in insulting the massive bear after downplaying her efforts in their earlier battle. Enraged, Kuma raised a massive claw to strike at Garmadon, but paused after the "vile Oni" threw himself in front of Min and Saeko to protect them. Surprised by Garmadon's actions, Kuma realized that Garmadon had indeed changed and agreed to help the villagers after Min offered an apology for the villagers' intrusion into Glimwillow Woods. Kuma accepted the girl's words and asked what would become of Mogra, to which Garmadon declared that he would takes care of him.

At his headquarters in Two Moon Village, Killow reported to Mogra about his conquest of the eastern part of Glimwillow Woods, pleasing the warlord. Mogra then ordered Ultra Violet to fill a wagon with Two Moon Tea, intending to present it as an offering to the Serpentine in an effort to gain additional allies in his planned conquest of Ninjago. At that moment, three bikers ran in a panic through the walls of the headquarters, irritating Mogra who demanded to know about the commotion. In response, Mohawk replied that it would be better for Mogra to go out and see for himself. Exiting his headquarters to the edge of Two Moon Village, Mogra stood in shock as he saw an army of bears waiting outside the fence, led by his nemesis, Garmadon, and the villagers, all of whom were ready to take back Two Moon Village. Mogra mocked Garmadon, sarcastically asking if the former dark lord would "throw a bear at him" if he refused to fight. With a sly grin, Garmadon confirmed Mogra's comment just as Kuma attacked Mogra, destroying the bridge he was on. Enraged, Mogra began to drink Two Moon tea while ordering his forces to attack. The Liberation of Two Moon Village has begun.

As the battle raged on, the tide began to turn against Red Crows. After Kuma easily destroyed the biker gang's motorcycles, a panicked Ultra Violet called for a hasty retreat. This further angered Mogra who lambasted his forces as cowards before cursing and attacking Kuma with a breath of flame. At this moment, Garmadon intervened, shouting at Mogra that his fight was with him as he charged the winged warlord. As the two fought, Mogra boasted that without the tea, Garmadon stood no chance against him. Defiant, Garmadon began to rip apart the tea capsules forming Mogra's necklace and began pouring their contents down his opponent's throat and overloading him with energy. Now engulfed in flames, Mogra hurled Garmadon off of him and flew into the sky before divebombing down towards the village, intent on destroying everyone, even his own forces, if he was to die. All fighting on the ground now ceased as the combatants looked up towards their last moments in horror, fear, pain, and sorrow evident in their faces. As Garmadon looked on, a thought filled his head: "Why are you here, Garmadon? What is it you fight for? What is it you want?" Once again achieving his Oni Form, Garmadon declared quietly to himself, "Redemption," as he unleashed a powerful blast of destruction at Mogra, seemingly vaporizing the warlord.

Following the battle, the defeated Red Crows are forced to help the villagers rebuild their village, under the watchful eyes of Renzo and Kenzo. Kuma remarked of the possibility that Mogra survived the battle, but Renzo and Kenzo replied that they will only defeat him again if he returns-together this time. Just then, Bron approached the group, having found Garmadon's old helmet - all that remained of Mogra after the final battle. Min then took the helmet and ran off to find Garmadon to return it to him, but Garmadon has already gone, leaving behind only a farewell note in which he asked Min to take his helmet if she finds it. Delighted, Min placed the helmet over her head as she promised to hold onto it for Garmadon's return. Unbeknownst to her however, Garmadon had not gone that far yet, and was looking back towards Two Moon Village for the last time before finally leaving to continue his journey, unaware of what fate awaited him in Ninjago City.
