The lightning staff[1] (also known as the Mammatus staff)[2] is a type of staff that belongs to Chief Mammatus.
History

The Keepers of the Amulet[]
Mammatus was holding the lightning staff when the Keepers brought the ninja to his throne room. He later used the staff to reveal the Storm Amulet to them.
The Gift of Jay[]
After Mammatus made a speech to the Keepers, a Keeper gives Mammatus the lightning staff, who used it to sacrifice Jay to "Wojira."
The Tooth of Wojira[]
Mammatus attempted to use the lightning staff against the ninja when they were trying to rescue Jay.
The Storm Amulet[]
Mammatus used the lightning staff to reveal the fake Storm Amulet to give to the ninja for safekeeping.

- The staff is similar to Garmadon's staff from the Pilot Sets, as both have long sticks and lightning attached to the top by using a lightsaber hilt piece.
- In the sets, the staff looks completely different from the show, probably due to the complex design in the show.
- According to the official description in Hunted!, a weapon used by the Thunder Keeper in 892176 Thunder Keeper is also named lightning staff.
