While this is the smallest of the 3 models I got to work on this wave, it is my personal favourite! The task came out as a little surprise along the way of product development, and I was asked to give it a go making some different sketch models for a Jay jet, and eventually, I'm grateful that the team trusted me as a newbie enough that they let me take it through the development, on top of the two other models I was working on already.

Compared to the EVO mechs and dragon, I got more creative liberty on this one as there is no format/aesthetics to adhere to, but more importantly, it was a great design challenge with the $10 price point and 6+ age mark. I think the final product you get certainly gives a great value, both in terms of the piece count and the size of the jet, and the wings and side engine exhaust have some fun geometries that would hopefully delight builders of all ages.

Plus, the 2x2 tiles on the wings are, again, printed! :D Awesome graphics by Michael and Julia did the building instruction. Teamwork!^[2]
