The mountain monastery[1] is a monastery in a snowy mountain in Ninjago inhabited by monks.

The Mask of Deception[]
One year after Wu's disappearance following the battle against the Time Twins, Cole and Jay journeyed to the mountain monastery following a lead about an "old man who lost his memory with a long beard." To their dismay however, the old man was not Wu, but someone else who matched his description. As the two began to fight, one of the monks angrily snapped at them before realizing he had broken his vow of silence. This led to multiple other monks breaking their vows, ultimately devolving into a full blown shouting match as the two Ninja left the monastery.
