Kai and Zane visited the Cave of Tentacles to obtain four barrels of Moss-milk - the processing fee for their request for information on the Skull Sorcerer. Upon entering the cavern, Zane realized that it earned its name from the masses of writhing, tentacle like roots that covered the cave ceiling. As the two harvested the moss-milk from the cave moss, they were attacked by a lava monster. After blasting it with elemental powers failed to work, Kai and Zane resorted to defeating it by dropping their barrels of moss-milk on its head, knocking it out cold.
Shintaro Revisited![]
While assisting the Army of Shintaro in vacating the cave systems of Dire Bats, the ninja found themselves in the Cave of Tentacles. Kai and Zane recalled the time they defeated a lava monster in the cave and realized that a chunk of Chronosteel had formed in the aftermath of that battle. The ninja then retrieved the chronosteel and departed the cave.
