Tech Titans Clash![]
Following the Ninja's disqualification from the Tournament of the Sources, Sora, Nya, and Arin sought out the junkyard to acquire parts to construct a vehicle to use in their Cavern Run challenge. Upon arriving at the junkyard, the trio watched a young man being physically thrown out by Gerard Gearhead with the young man warning the trio that Gearhead was in one of his infamous foul moods.
After dispatching Gearhead's lone security bot, the trio entered the junkyard to request parts, but were denied. When Gearhead continued to mock Sora's mechanical engineering prowess, she angrily challenged him to a mech building contest, which Gearhead accepted. Sometime later, the two each constructed a mech and pitted them against one another, ultimately ending in Sora's victory as she dismantled her mech into several smaller ones to overwhelm Gearhead's. Gearhead then begrudgingly allowed Sora and her friends to take whatever they wanted from the junkyard, faintly praising Sora's ability by remarking he wanted to see what she could build with all of it.

United We Fall[]
The ninja were in need of a vehicle for the Cavern Run. Arin suggested the use of the Explorer; however, it was in a state of disrepair and had been discarded in the junkyard by Bleckt. The mention of the junkyard gave Sora an idea, prompting her to consider the possibility of constructing a vehicle using salvaged parts available there, creating the Ninja Team Combo Vehicle.
The Vault of Focus[]
Arin and Sora used parts from the junkyard to create two mechs, a Jet Mech and Spinjitzu Battle Mech, and also coated the mechs in Prismatic Ore to fight the Spectral Dragonians.
