Chen's New Chair is the first short based around Master Chen and his throne, taking place sometime during or before the fourth season of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.

After Chen unboxed his new throne, he admired it while Clouse suggests he reads the manual. He presses a button that opened a trapdoor under the box. Clouse insists he reads the instructions before pushing any more buttons. Chen ignores him, claiming he doesn't need it and reading is boring, and pushes another button, setting Clouse on fire and burning the manual in the process.

One of the buttons triggers as trap door, which the big wooden box falls into.
Chen is too excited to pay attention to Clouse. The instruction manual reveals the chair's name is "Smart Throne 3000".

The manual has been burnt to ashes, and Clouse is displeased.
