- He provided animation for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Hotel Transylania, Moana and Big Hero 6. He was employed as an animator for Walt Disney Studios from 2014-2016.[1]
- In 2011, Zhang won a gold medal at the 38th Annual Student Academy Awards from the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences for his animated short film DragonBoy.[2]
