Trivia

Trivia[]

Kevin Burke is in duo with Chris "Doc" Wyatt in all his projects.
Burke and Wyatt work on all of their ideas for Ninjago together, brainstorming and pitching each other even before bringing the concepts to LEGO.^[2]
Some of his other works include Marvel's Spider-Man, Super Dinosaur, Stretch Armstrong, Transformers: BotBots, Rescue Bots Academy, Avengers Assemble, Star Wars Resistance, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 and Thunderbirds Are Go.
Burke addressed how he was confronted with a ton of questions and that, although he loves answering them, a lot of them fall into spoiler territory and will be answered in the show itself in upcoming storylines as Dragons Rising is a complex saga that builds up to a huge conclusion.^[4] He also expressed being very thankful^[5] and grateful for the fanbase and described it as "smart, perceptive and caring"^[6] aswell as "one of the greatest."^[7]
He is careful and hesitant with revealing details in tweets and canonizing premature lore because he fears taking out the potential for a greater story that he could come up with later down the line.^[8]^[9]
For his work on "Sweatin' to the Goldies," he received an exclusive beach towel with Zane and Jay from WildBrain.^[10]
One of his favorite Ninjago characters is Wyldfyre.^[11]
He is a fan of the famous singer Prince. He's also a big fan of David Bowie.^[12]
One of Burke's favorite fim composers is Joe Hisaishi.^[13]
He also plays guitar^[14]^[15] and is a member of the band Dad Band Land (DBL), which also has a podcast that he contributes to.^[16]^[17]
He has reposted a post by Jeremy Adams, a fellow writer, talking about his work on DREAMZzz Season 3.^[18]
Burke has picked up on his interest in telling more stories with pretty much every Ninjago character. To this he added that we would be able to see some of those stories, even with new characters, in the future, which he could talk about after Dragons Rising has ended.^[19]
When asked if he would ever write a canonical novel like Tommy Andreasen did with the two yet to be finished stories Way of the Departed and The Splinter in the Blind Man's Eye , he replied: "Currently don’t have any plans to, but someday, who knows!"^[20]
He and Doc Wyatt will likely not voice a character in Ninjago due to recordings happening in Canada and neither Doc or Kevin would fall under the Canadian Voice Actors union.^[21]
