The Land of Monsters[]
The Queen of the monster insects was encountered by Kai after an investigation around the Great Watering Hole. Although the Queen revealed herself once Kai and his allies released the other Monsters she had enslaved, she was horrifically injured by a combination of Kai's Fire and the Trexxs's acid spit. Although she and her brood were forced to retreat deeper into their tunnels, she fled with a warning that Kai would regret their encounter.

- She was based on two entries of the Become a legendary NINJAGO creator contest, "Nocturox, the Brood Weaver" by Building-Re-Bjorn and "Fugidove’s Plan" by LastAngryToad.[1][2]
- The Queen and her insects are reminiscent of the Queen of Monsters and the jungle insects.
