The jungle insects are beetle like creatures, their mouths are contain a internal glow and jagged teeth with glowing red accents face like markings, spheres. Their lower half posses pterodactyl like wings with green inner wings and glowing spikes and orange tips.

History

The Forest of Teeth! (flashback)[]

A horde of presumably adult jungle insects ambushed Kai and Daidan in the skies above the Forest of Teeth. The two were able to fight several off, but ultimately crashed in the forest below as a result of Daidan's injuries.

Meanwhile, a young jungle insect, Fuzz, was trying to survive in the Forest of Teeth but was caught by one of the living forest's vines. Fortunately for Fuzz, Kai assumed that the small creature was an innocent in need of defending and saved his life from the carnivorous plants that comprised the forest. Grateful for Kai's aid, Fuzz offered to strengthen Kai's powers and climbed atop of Kai's back before sticking his antennae into the human's neck. This action filled Kai with incredible strength, allowing him to cut his way through the Forest of Teeth and regroup with Daidan. After regrouping, Fuzz and the other two began to journey together.

The Ruins! (flashback)[]

Fuzz continued to accompany Kai and Daidan through the Forest of Teeth, where they discovered the remains of a long abandoned village. There, Fuzz empowered Kai to defeat a Monster pig that resided in the ruins. After defeating the pig, the group spoke to a strange warrior that aided them in battle, with the stranger introducing himself as Bolsen. Although Kai offered to journey alongside him, Fuzz, recognizing the man, attempted to dissuade Kai to no avail.

While Fuzz, Kai, and Bolsen conversed, a horde of Jungle insects descended upon a weakened Daidan and carried her off to the lair of their queen.

Queen of Monsters! (flashback)[]

With Daidan brought before her, the Queen of Monsters began to feast on the dragon's life force. When Kai and Bolsen ascended to the lair to confront the Queen, she used her enthrallment over Bolsen to command him to dispatch Kai while she feasted. This greatly displeased Fuzz, who declared that Kai was his puppet to feast on, not his mother's! Although Kai angrily shook off Fuzz at first, he reluctantly accepted Fuzz's powerup to fend off Bolsen's fierce attacks.

Recognizing Kai's strength, the Queen decided that she would dispatch of Bolsen and Kai would take his place as her new champion. This comment seemingly snapped Bolsen out of his enthrallment, and alongside Kai, the two warriors attacked and slew the Queen. Following her demise, the two warriors turned their sights to Fuzz who then frantically claimed to have been freed from his mother's enthrallment as well and fled from the lair.
