Soon is the elder of the unnamed village that Jay and Kai passed through for supplies.

Jay: Ninja of Lightning[]
After Jay and Kai learn of the looming threat of a Skulkin attack on the village they're in, Soon rushes over to them. After briefly introducing himself, he requests for their help in defending the village due to him knowing that they're students of Wu. After they agree to help the village, he leads them to a small group of men, and the two ninja observe that the village is vastly outnumbered. Soon states that Lee only sold them about a dozen swords and shields, and that he believes the village is doomed. After Jay requests to be provided with metal cans and pipes, Soon orders the materials to be fetched for him, but expresses his confusion after Jay assembles his idea for a contraption. However, he is soon bewildered as the contraption amplifies the sound of the small militia, making them sound like an entire mob, which scares off the Skulkin forces. Soon thanks the ninja, who ask him to answer some of their questions in regard to their investigation around Lee. After being questioned, he tells them that Lee didn't give the villagers swords and shields, but rather sold the gear to them for a hefty price, which drained the town treasury. He also stated that there hadn't been any previous raids on the village by Skulkin.
The next day, Soon gathers the village defenders to hide with the two ninja, overlooking the remnants of Lee's Supplies. Eventually, a small Skulkin raiding party arrives, and Soon questions the ninja about whether or not the villagers should attack them. Jay denies the suggestion, and they continue to watch the Skulkin take supplies, until they get enough and leave. In their place is Din, gagged and tied up, and Soon asks him if he's alright.
The next morning, the two ninja gather the suspects of the crime associated with Lee and his shop, and Soon is among them. Jay explains that a possible motive for Soon to hurt Lee and destroy his shop was that the entire town treasury was drained by Lee's dealings. However, it's soon unveiled that Din was the true culprit of the crime. After the two ninja defeat him, Soon promises to jail Din for his crimes.
