He was the first Non-Lee I had ever met, a whole other person who had thoughts that weren't my thoughts. Games are so much more fun when you don't know what the other player is going to do! Life was all new. I realized other people must be the key to being happy. He told me of the outside world, its wonders, and what he missed... Until one day, he missed them so much, he left Lee. I stayed, because there is no Lee without... Lee. Right then, I vowed to make the Land of Lee so perfect, no one would ever want to leave again.”

Lee is a being who lived in extreme solitude without any contact, existing only for himself and his realm.

After the final prophecy of Quanish the Elder, the Merge occurred, an event in which all the Realms of Creation united on the Realm of Ninjago. From then on, people from other realms began to arrive in his land. Lee, fearful of losing his solitude but simultaneously yearning for companionship, constructed an underground artificial community to imprison those who arrived in his realm. He led them to believe that the Merge had destroyed everything in its path and that the Realm of Lee was the only thing that had survived. Furthermore, to prevent those searching for them from finding them, he created a fake cemetery, where he inscribed the names of the individuals, making the outside world believe they were dead.

During the spectral invasions, Sora managed to convince him to stop acting this way. After Thunderfang was defeated and his soul returned to his body after being hollowed, Lee finally confessed the truth, allowing the people to leave. He did it with the peace of mind of knowing that his true friends would remain by his side, making sure that he would never be alone again, just like Sora told him.

Background[]

Lee was the only inhabitant of his land and grew bored and lonely. He created clones of himself to play with but to little satisfaction. After the Merge, Lee began to welcome lost people and built an underground community to house them. He would begin to brainwash them into believing that the world had been destroyed.

Casket of Bones[]

Two of Lee’s manifestations follow Nya and Jay as they are looking for Lloyd and Wyldfyre.

Another manifestation of Lee explains to Lloyd and Wyldfyre about his process of brainwashing any people who go figure out that he is lying about the Merge. As he tells them this his monster who brainwashed people just gets done brainwashing Elway. He then tells Lloyd and Wyldfyre that as soon as his tentacled monster is rested he will proceed to brainwash them. Lee then waves goodbye to them before leaving the room with Elway.

The other two Lees continue to follow Nya and Jay however they are forced to stop following them when a pink Merlopian comes outside to say hello. The Lees are forced to stop so as to not look suspicious and when the Merlopian leaves they can no longer figure out where Nya and Jay are, because they hid behind some bushes. Nya and Jay then stumble upon a room where several Lees are carving gravestones. There are also several gravestones for the ninja using the names they had given to Lee, Strong McCoolguy, Maya McCoolguy, Doyll Donmagar, Filedwire Donmagar. The Lees then leave with several of the gravestones and place them down on the ground on the surface so that no one coming to the Land of Lee will find the underground cave. They then go back to their workshop. Four Lees however, see Nya and Jay messing around in the graveyard and start running towards Nya and Jay. Lee yells stop, but Nya and Jay run anyway. Lee chases Nya and Jay through the main cavern of the Land of Lee. Jay tries to kill some of the Lees however Nya pushes them out of the way of danger.
