The Land of Monsters[]
After entering the Mech Catacombs Cemetery, Kai encountered The Beast, which he branded as being the "ugliest monster" he had encountered so far within the Land of Monsters. Using its hypnotic gaze, the Beast tricked Kai into thinking that he had become a monster himself, leading the ninja to fall into despair. Smacking its lips, the Beast lowered its head for Kai to enter its gaping jaws but its meal was interrupted by Rexa. Shifting its focus, the Beast turned its gaze onto the teenage Trexx instead, unwittingly releasing Kai from its enthrall. At that moment, Rexa's younger brother, Trexx, spat out an acid ball that burned the Beast's eye, blinding it as it roared in pain and fled deeper into its lair, releasing the Horned Cat Tribe and all others from its enthrall.

- The Beast was a submission for the Become a legendary NINJAGO creator contest by NM Brix.[1]
- There seems to be a limit on how many beings the Beast is able to enthrall at once, as Kai was immediately released when it turned its gaze onto Rexa; however the members of the Horned Cat Tribe still remained under its control until the Beast was blinded.
