Plot

Plot[]

Once upon a bite[]

Fangtom wakes up in a cave and sees a strange red object. Without thinking, the serpentine bites it and then realizes that he but his own tail. This causes the general's second head to appear.

It's Hard to be a Snake[]

Following Cole's instructions, Jay follows the Serpentine that have been spotted in the mountains. He follows Fangdam and arrives at a valley where twelve serpents have gathered, three from each tribe. Although there are no generals among them, the serpents are discussing an important matter: how the clans will divide the world of Ninjago once it has been conquered. The discussion quickly escalates into an argument, leading the snakes to decide on a competition. Bytar breaks a tree, while Fangdam bites another. Fangdam's tree quickly transforms into a snake and slithers away, while Bythar's tree falls later. As a result, Fangdam is declared the winner and takes the lead at the meeting. Due to the ongoing snake hissing, Jay decides to get closer in order to hear the details of the conversation. He uses his new invention, a special device that attaches to the belt and disguises the wearer as a snake. With this device, the ninja successfully infiltrates the meeting, with the other snakes being confused to see a newcomer from an unknown Serpentine tribe.

Before continuing the discussion, the snakes suddenly remember that they didn't compete in hissing yet, and after a few fights, Fangdam emerges as the winner once again. The Serpentine then offer the newcomer to take part in the competition, but Jay refuses. Fangdam then proposes another challenge, which the ninja must accept. Since the competition is called "Slithering and biting," Jay is at risk of being bitten and transforming into a snake. Additionally, his device begins to malfunction and may break at any moment. Jay tried to leave, but the other serpents blocked his way so he has to accept the challenge. However, the disguised ninja tricks the Serpentine into fighting each other, and escapes, satisfied that the enemies will not come to an agreement on the division of Ninjago. When Jay returns to the camp, Zane tries to attack him with shurikens, as the disguise device is still working. Jay wants to turn it off, but a short circuit occurs and the disguise mode does not turn off. The blue ninja has to run away from his friends, and he reflects on how being a ninja can sometimes be even more difficult than being a snake.

To Bite or not to Bite[]

Cole trains at the Monastery of Spinjitzu and asks Wu if the Fangpyre Bite can truly turn anything into a snake. Sensei answers affirmatively, and the Earth-nin ponders how snakes with such abilities must eat. Meanwhile, in the cave, Fang-Suei tries to eat a pizza, but it turns into an evil pizza after his bite. Fangdam observes this and explains that this is why snakes swallow their food whole instead of chewing it.
