Plot[]

Frog Hunting[]

Skalidor is working out to stay in shape, but Bytar suddenly appears with a fishing rod and a bucket. He says he's going frog hunting, and when the general asks about the rod, he explains that he's planning to use it to trick the amphibians.

Snake's Honour[]

In chase of Bytar, a Constrictai warrior who has done a lot of damage to a nearby village and needs to be brought to justice, Kai goes to a cave which was an old Serpentine hideout. When the ninja and the Serpentine were fighting, the Constrictai accidentally broke a wooden beam, which leads to the ceiling to collapse, which blocks the exist for the two. When both of them get out of the rocks, Kai suggests Bytar to show him another exit, or he will have to create some molten magma to chase him down. Bytar reluctantly agrees, leading Kai down a tunnel.

When the two get to the fork of the tunnel, the Constrictai tries to trick the ninja to go straight into the pit, but fails. Then, he says that from now on, he won't be using any tricks, swearing on snake's honor.

Going through the tunnel, Bytar says that there was once a time when all Serpentine tribes got along fine, but it did not last. He recalls a time many years ago, when he, along with Fangdam and Slithraa were working together to seize a jewelled sword that some "stupid human" had hidden. When the trio got to cross a narrow rope bridge, Bythar volunteered to go first, and when he was halfway across, he used the sword to cut the ropes that held the bridge down. It collapsed, and the Constrictai fell with his prize. When Kai asked how did he know how would he survive that, Bytar answered that he didn't, but he knew that it was worth it so Fangpyre and Hypnobrai won't get the treasure.

The duo finally get to the second exist, which was a hole in the cave's ceiling. Bytar asks Kai for a boost, so he will pull him up, but the ninja doesn't fall for that and suggests doing the opposite. The Constrictai agreed, but when Kai put a foot in the palmes of the snake's hands, Bytar let go of his feet, wrapped both arm around his and began to squeeze. Kai expected something like that, so he used Spinjitzu to get out if his grip and was able to jump to the surface. He then promised to the Constrictai that he will be back with his friends to get him out and lock him up, swearing on Ninja's honor.

Snake Biscuits[]

Wu and his students are having lunch at the monastery. Kai asks about dessert, and Sensei asks him to be patient. Meanwhile, the Constrictai sneak into the monastery's cellar. They plan to launch a surprise attack on the ninja, but find snake cookies and fight over them. Wu hears a crash and rushes to check the room with Kai. There they find a pile of disoriented snakes and an empty cookie plate.

Trivia[]

• The story "Snake's Honour" takes place after "The Snake King", since Kai is wearing his ZX gi.
