- Michael Kramer originally wrote lyrics for the song, but LEGO told them that this would be too complicated because it would require translating and hiring voice actors for the translations, so instead, Kramer and Jay Vincent made the pirates sing "pirate gibberish."[1]
- This song is included in the Season 2 soundtrack as part of the "Ninjago Theme Mashup".
- This is the first pirate song to be heard in the show, the second being the Misfortune's Keep song sung by the Sky Pirates.
