When the Destiny's Bounty approached this storm, Lloyd told Harumi that his father told him the storm is called the "Dead Man's Squall." As they further neared it, Nya mentioned to Jay about a tribe that was once said to worship a storm spirit named Wojira.
Setting the Destiny's Bounty to autopilot, the Ninja sailed through the storm to provide them cover from the Sons of Garmadon. Unfortunately, thanks to the Spider Hacker planted by Mr. E, the Sons of Garmadon were able to remotely seize control over P.I.X.A.L.'s body, using her to attack the Destiny's Bounty and forcing the Ninja to attempt to stop her. By the time P.I.X.A.L. regained control over her body following the Spider Hacker's destruction, the damage had already been done and the Destiny's Bounty plummeted from the skies and cover of the Dead Man's Squall towards the ground below.
