“Zane, I was once just a Nindroid. A machine. And then, long ago, in a different battle, you gave up half your power source to save me. In that moment, you changed me. I felt things… I never felt before. I felt... love. For you.”
P.I.X.A.L. (Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form), known as Pix by her friends, is a female Nindroid created by Cyrus Borg to serve as his assistant, the current Samurai X, a member of the ninja, and Zane's girlfriend.
When Cyrus Borg invited the ninja to discuss an important matter, P.I.X.A.L. gave a tour of the building to Nya, Wu, and their students. However, this tour was cut short when P.I.X.A.L. was put under the control of the Overlord. While under his control, she designed and produced the Nindroid Army using blueprints of Zane. She would remain under his control until Zane freed her using a Techno Blade. During the Nindroid crisis, P.I.X.A.L. assisted in turning the power to Ninjago City off. They are successful, but this deactivated P.I.X.A.L. in the process. Zane gave her half of his power source, reactivating her and the knowledge of how to fight properly. P.I.X.A.L. would continue to help the ninja in battling against Nindroids, the Overlord, and even Pythor, until Zane sacrificed himself to defeat the Overlord and save Ninjago.
During Zane's memorial, P.I.X.A.L. remained in Borg Tower mourning his loss, until Zane communicated to her from within the Digiverse. Together, they built Zane a new titanium body, but were shortly captured by Ronin and sold to Chen soon after. P.I.X.A.L.'s body would be scrapped, while her consciousness would be dumped on a neural drive. She would remain there until Zane put her neural drive in his processor, essentially putting P.I.X.A.L. in his head. From there, P.I.X.A.L. would assist Zane and the ninja to the best of her ability in stopping the Anacondrai Cultists from taking over Ninjago.
During the attack of the Vermillion, P.I.X.A.L. left Zane's head and built a new physical body. She took on the alias of Samurai X so she could adopt a more physical role in the ninja's missions. P.I.X.A.L. then assisted the ninja in dealing with the Time Twins.
Eventually, her identity as the new Samurai X became known to the ninja, which was met with Zane's approval. Due to this, she helped battle the Sons of Garmadon with the ninja in a more prominent role. Later, she joined the Resistance against Garmadon's oppressive hold of Ninjago City.
While the other ninja were in Prime Empire, she and Zane embarked on a search for Milton Dyer. They succeed, but not before Zane was used as a power source to fuel the gateway between Prime Empire and Ninjago. P.I.X.A.L. would then assist Jay in stopping Unagami, leading to the eventual release and revival of those trapped in the game.
At some point, following the Merge, P.I.X.A.L. was placed on standby in a stasis pod. After Thunderfang was defeated, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane rode off together to explore the Merged Lands.
P.I.X.A.L. is a playable character in LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin. She can be purchased for 250,000 studs after collecting her character token in the Ninjago Hub. She wields two spike blades and possesses no special abilities.
P.I.X.A.L. has a white face covered with purple conduction tracks (similar to those found on printed circuit boards), highlighting the fact that she is an android. She also has wide, white lips and glowing green eyes, which also underscore the fact that she is an android. Shortly after Garmadon took control of Ninjago City, she began wearing a black mask with a blue border bordering her face, but after the Oni's invasion she stopped. Some parts of her head don't appear to be waterproof, as she needed to cover her entire head except for her face with a mask to dive.
Her original hair was silver, has a fringe to the left side, and behind a tall disheveled ponytail. When she rebuilt her body, she also recreated her hair. Now, the fringe is to the right side, the ponytail is less disheveled and is lower. It also seems that her hair is bigger and thicker. Originally, her hair was very shiny, but after the Oni's invasion they became more dull.
P.I.X.A.L.'s original body
As an assistant at Borg Industries, she wore a purple uniform with a gray and red trim and an equally colored belt. She has an opening in her left arm that showed a part of her breastplate, also with purple conduction tracks, and the rest of her body was white. When she was controlled by the Overlord, her eyes turned red.
When Chen captured her, he ordered her whole body to be dismantled, but when Zane acquired her neural drive and put it inside of his head, she kept the same design as before as the hologram in his mind.
P.I.X.A.L. as Samurai X
When she rebuilt her body, she put on Nya's Jungle Samurai X Suit. The suit consisted of black-red armor with a dark green chestplate depicting Nya's phoenix symbol. She also had dark green leg protectors, red arms, and black gloves. She wore a black Samurai helmet with a red mask over her mouth and golden horns. She also had silver shoulder pads. Her whole face was covered with a black mask with silver glasses and red eyes.
When she recolored the original Samurai X suit for her new color scheme, the suit consisted of silver armor and belly and leg protectors and consisted mostly of dark blue clothing, black shoes with gold details, black hands, and dark blue arms. She also had a gold belt and a gold Samurai X symbol in the middle of her chest in a gray circle. She wore the same helmet as before but with a mask on her mouth dyed gold. She also had black, slightly larger shoulder pads. She had a gold mask on her face, the torah obscuring her identity, and she had a radiant blue cover on her eyes that connected the two eyes.
P.I.X.A.L. with a black face border
Over the next year, she changed her suit again, adding white and red to the color scheme. Her suit is therefore now dark blue, with red and white details on the chest and skirt on the legs. Her shoes are now black with a white sole. In the middle of her chest, she has a golden Samurai X symbol in a red circle. She has the same shoulder pads as before, but golden. Her helmet remained unchanged, but shortly before the Oni's invasion changed the horns of the helmet so that they were now slightly larger and twisted. She kept the same mask on her face but began to wear another, slightly different mask under it. This mask is mostly white, with a black eye cover, red pupils, and red stripes pointing upwards from the eyes.
She also wore Zane's gray fedora for a while after the Mechanic kidnapped him.
At some point before or after The Merge happened, P.I.X.A.L changed her look again, now with purple eyeliner and lips, and she now has a new Samurai X suit mostly white with lavender details with grey arm sleeves, red gloves and two smaller golden shoulder pieces. Her Samurai X logo is now a neon red. She also has new face markings.
“You can be honest with me, because I want to be a useful member of the team, but I would prefer not to return to the computer. I like having a body, but if you require my assistance in your headset...”
P.I.X.A.L. was originally shown to be quite emotionless and impassive and had only her duties to Cyrus Borg as her primary concern. Things like duty, honor, and compassion at first meant nothing to her, but throughout her adventures with the Ninja, and her interactions with Zane, she developed immensely as a person. P.I.X.A.L. originally had no interest in others besides a basic curiosity and desire to learn, but after meeting with Zane, her behavior changed. When she was pondering on helping the ninja to shut off power, she quickly ignored any doubts or reasons in it to save. When she was shut down and given part of Zane's power, she slowly became more human and her emotions soon surfaced, showing that she was capable of exemplary bravery, compassion, humor, and friendship.
Her most human traits were shown primarily around Zane, an android like her, who taught her to embrace her hidden humanity and subsequently know things like deep love, civic duty, friendship, but also loss and heartache. This was shown as she was deeply shocked after Zane's apparent death and sacrificing of his original body to defeat the Overlord; she had been affected more than anyone by his death to the point where she avoided his memorial in her inability to accept his passing but was overjoyed by discovering his resurrection. She also developed a deep faith in Zane and his strength of character, showing a profound level of emotional intimacy and devotion to her love. Although she is a good fighter, she prefers peaceful ways to end the fighting, as she asked the Preeminent and the octopus to stop their activities, rather than being forced to defeat them by force.
After adopting the Samurai X persona, P.I.X.A.L. hid the fact that she had a new body and was protecting people to have her own identity. As she told Zane, she would have preferred to have her own body and not be part of the computer, but she asked him if he agreed, as she really wanted to be a useful member of the team. Following her reunion with Zane, she was very happy and they embraced in their reunion.
As of late, P.I.X.A.L. shows a snarky side thanks to her spending too much time with Zane and how he is starting to get on her nerves with his habit of emulating characters from data that he found online.
Weapons and abilities
Weapons and abilities[]
“Not bad. You've clearly mastered several different fighting styles.”
Skilled combatant - Although originally P.I.X.A.L. could not fight because it wasn't in her programming, when she gained Zane's power source, her fighting skills increased. She was notably able to easily disarm Pythor and Techno Wu. When she built a new body for herself and became Samurai X, she became a much better fighter as she mastered several different fighting styles and was even able to defeat all the Ninja when she was hacked by the Quiet One. P.I.X.A.L. also easily stands up to factions of villains such as Sons of Garmadon, Freebooters or Dragonian Warriors and has no difficulty beating bandits and criminals as well as Crystal Warriors. Years later after The Merge, her combat skills became better that she was able to effortlessly overpower and defeat Zarkt, a member of the Forbidden Five, who did not use any of his powers. Although she struggled to fight Nokt who managed to defeat her and take the Prismatic Blade from her which is likely partly due to the fact P.I.X.A.L. was unaware of her opponent's abilities
Spinjitzu(formerly) - After Zane gave her half of his power source, she was able to use Spinjitzu with Zane. However, she does not know how to use it after rebuilding her body, because no one has taught her how to accomplish it.[1]
Great agility: P.I.X.A.L. has very good agility and is capable of performing acrobatics such as somersaults.
Nindroid Physiology/abilities: Being a Nindroid, P.I.X.A.L. has the following abilities.
Intelligence - As a Nindroid, P.I.X.A.L. is very intelligent and has access to a wealth of information.
Voice replication - As a Nindroid, P.I.X.A.L. can replicate anyone's voice whether they are alive or dead.
Holographic projection - P.I.X.A.L. can project holograms and images from her eyes like a video projector.[2]
Probability Prediction: P.I.X.A.L. can survey her environments and predict the likelihood of a possible outcome or tell whether or not there are any better options.
Scanner Vision: Through her eyes, P.I.X.A.L. can scan a person, an area, a vehicle for various reasons.
Hidden grappling hook (probably formerly) - P.I.X.A.L. had a grappling hook that could come out of her arm of her first body, that she could use to climb.[3]
Mechanical skills - P.I.X.A.L. is a skilled mechanic and inventor. She built the majority of the vehicles of the Ninja and of the team since the Oni's invasion.
Weapons[]
Grapple hook - Inside her original body's arm, she had a grapple hook.
Katana - P.I.X.A.L.'s primary weapon is a katana. Since she became Samurai X she use two of her personal golden katana.
P.I.X.A.L.(Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form) is Cyrus Borg’s android assistant.
When she first meets the ninja, she is under the influence of the Digital Overlord and uses her skills to copy the plans for Zane so the Nindroids can be built.
She is cold and mechanical and incapable of any feeling for anyone.
P.I.X.A.L. is actually the 16th model in her line, the first 15 having malfunctioned due to a faulty thermo-coil and a malfunctioning AIE-ES (artificial intelligence enhancer-emotion suppressor) chip.
Borg was able to fix the coil, but the chip problem has not been completely solved.[7]
P.I.X.A.L. (Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form) is Cyrus Borg’s android assistant. When she first meets the Ninja, she is under the influence of the Digital Overlord and uses her skills to copy the plans for Zane so the Nindroids can be built. She later discovers she is compatible with Zane. P.I.X.A.L. is actually the 16th model in her line, the first 15 having malfunctioned due to a faulty thermo-coil and a malfunctioning AIE-ES (artificial intelligence enhancer-emotion suppressor) chip. Borg was able to fix the coil, but the chip problem has not been completely solved.
P.I.X.A.L. is an acronym for Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form. When the Ninja visit Borg Tower, they meet P.I.X.A.L., who is Borg’s android assistant (it took 16 versions for Borg to create the P.I.X.A.L. we know today). She was briefly taken over by the Digital Overlord, during which time she helped to manufacture an army of Nindroids based on Zane’s design. From the beginning, there was mutual fascination between her and Zane, as they shared similarities as well as differences. Badly damaged after a battle at the Storm Farm, P.I.X.A.L. was saved when Zane shared half his power core with her – his heart, you might say. From then on, she became an ally of the Ninja and very close to Zane. Later, Zane and P.I.X.A.L. were captured and held hostage on Chen's Island. When Zane found her cell, P.I.X.A.L. had been reduced to only spare parts and a face on a monitor. Zane put her neural drive into his processor, making P.I.X.A.L. a part of his artificial intelligence.[8]
The Hands of Time (Museum)[]
During the attack on the Temple of Airjitzu, a new hero rises! At first, the new Samurai X’s arrival makes the ninja fear there’s yet another enemy to fight, but this blue Samurai X quickly convinces them they have another ally in their battle against the Hands of Time. But who is this new Samurai X?[9]
P.I.X.A.L. IS SHORT FOR Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form. She is a human-shaped robot, or android. While under the control of the Digital Overlord, she copies Zane's own android design to make the Nindroid Army. She is later freed from her programming and changes her ways.
P.I.X.A.L SAMURAI X: NO LONGER NYA[]
WHEN NYA STOPS using her Samurai X identity, P.I.X.A.L. uploads her artificial intelligence to the Samurai X suit. At first, the ninja are suspicious of the new hero on the scene, but when they learn that it is their android friend they pleased to have her on the team.
P.I.X.A.L.'s name is written differently depending on the source. In the set descriptions mentioning her name[13][14] and various episode descriptions, she is referred to as "Pixal," while in other sources such as Garmadon Rulez!, she is referred to as "P.I.X.A.L.".
The clip on P.I.X.A.L.'s original hair piece on her minifigure from 2014 is absent in the show.
According to Michael Knap, P.I.X.A.L. having a revealed breastplate does not mean she is nude because "She is a nindroid minifigure, I'm not sure if they have human features."[15]
P.I.X.A.L. is the character with the most voice actors, as she uses the voices of several different characters in "Secrets Discovered."
Like the original Samurai X, her identity had already been revealed through her minifigure released in the set wave for Season 8.
Her hair piece was changed to the same as Nya's current in Season 8, albeit silver.
Nya's and therefore also P.I.X.A.L.'s post-movie hair piece was modeled after P.I.X.A.L.'s original hair piece,[16] which itself originates from the Cave Woman from Minifigures Series 5.
Her hair piece was not physically released in silver until Ninjago: Core in 2022, four years after Season 8 aired in 2018.
The design of her second dark blue Samurai X suit seems to be based on the Iron Patriot armor suit from Iron Man 3, as they have a very similar color scheme and design.
After becoming Samurai X, P.I.X.A.L. has been shown to have what seems to be a black helmet printed on her head in seasons 9 and 10. This has been reflected in LEGO sets.
Since Season 11, she no longer has this helmet. The reason for this change is unknown, though it may be connected to the animation studio change.
However, she had this helmet in "Long Live the King," when she was underwater, indicating it is waterproof.
Comparison between P.I.X.A.L.'s Rebooted and Core's face
There are a few differences between her previous faces in the sets and the show and her faces in Ninjago: Core.
The most striking difference is the subtle change of purple symbols, which are a little more detailed and elaborate.
Another change is slightly larger eyes and instead of a few lashes, only one large eyelash is above each eye.
The last changes are notches on both eyebrows and full silver lips, as in previous performances only the contours of the lips were silver and the inside was white.
Tommy Andreasen provided two reasons why P.I.X.A.L. doesn't know how to use Spinjitzu. The in-universe reason is that "no one taught her" and the out-of-universe reason is that "you don't give all characters the same abilities. If everyone is special, no one is special. PIXAL is amazing as she is."[1]
Trivia
Trivia[]
P.I.X.A.L. has had a number of color scheme changes, these being purple and white in seasons 3-6, gold and blue in Season 7, and blue, red, and white in Season 8 onward until Dragons Rising.
She is very similar to Nya, because they are both female protagonists that are part of the ninja team, who were inventors and Samurai X at some point in their lives, had a color scheme consisting of blue and red (no longer the case of P.I.X.A.L.), use the same hair piece, love one of the ninja, and built secret bases, which the ninja use as a garage for vehicles.
P.I.X.A.L. is the only main character who has not appeared in any shorts.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane are the second ninja-romance to become a couple, the first being Jay and Nya.
According to Tommy Andreasen, the models for P.I.X.A.L.'s fifteen predecessors were repurposed after their original uses, and her program may have been transferred each time.[18]
She was the second female character to be released physically as a minifigure, the first being Nya.
Even though she is a robot, P.I.X.A.L. demonstrates to have feelings due to the power source that she has received from Zane as of "Blackout," though she did begin showing a "human" side at the end of the prior episode, "The Art of the Silent Fist," with her line "Who cares about the probability?"
The reason for her to hide her true identity was her desire to protect the people she loves,[21] though she later reveals this was to protect Zane's feelings, as she was unsure how he would take her not wanting to be in his head anymore.[22][23]
Tommy Andreasen stated before Season 8's release that she was happy being in Zane's head at all times.[24] This was either disproved in Season 8 or P.I.X.A.L. grew tired of it over time.
Her identity as a Nindroid was hinted at in Season 7 when she remembered the code for programming a Nindroid and when she said "You can say I'm hard-wired that way, Nindroid," in "Out of the Fire and Into the Boiling Sea." It was also hinted when she disappeared in "Lost in Time."
P.I.X.A.L. appears in two variants as an unlockable character in The LEGO Ninjago Movie Videogame. She can be unlocked by achieving bronze medal status or higher in "The Secret Factory" training dojo, which requires the player to accumulate at least 50,000 studs. P.I.X.A.L. in her 2017 Samurai X suit can be unlocked by achieving bronze medal status in "The Dark Swamp" training dojo, which requires the player to accumulate at least 20,000 studs.
In "Dead Man's Squall," she officially joined the team as Samurai X.
As of "The News Never Sleeps!," citizens of Ninjago City believe that Samurai X is a male. This means that P.I.X.A.L. has not yet revealed her true identity as Samurai X to them, and is still believed to be a vigilante.
In "A Cold Goodbye," P.I.X.A.L. is shown sleeping and dreaming, despite being previously unable to dream, as stated in "Versus."
P.I.X.A.L. is the only main character in the original series who does not know how to use Spinjitzu, although she briefly used it with Zane in "Blackout."
According to Tommy Andreasen, P.I.X.A.L.'s hair is metal and can be removed.[25]
P.I.X.A.L. hasn't appeared in a boxed set costing less than $100 since 70651 Throne Room Showdown, while she has appeared in five sets since then.

Meet Killow, Samurai X and Jay - LEGO NINJAGO - Character Video
P.I.X.A.L.'s Sons of Garmadon Character Spot with Jay and Killow
P.I.X.A.L. was the last in a line of android assistants to Cyrus Borg. Her fifteen predecessors had malfunctioned due to a faulty thermo-coil and a malfunctioning AIE-ES (artificial intelligence enhancer-emotion suppressor) chip. Cyrus managed to fix the thermo-coil with P.I.X.A.L., but the AIE-ES chip remained problematic.[1][2]
When the ninja and their students arrived at Borg Tower for a tour of the facility, they were greeted by P.I.X.A.L., who was under the influence of the Overlord. She assured them that their crashed bus would be repaired before she introduced herself to Zane and asked him what his name stood for. Because she was under the influence of the Overlord,[2] P.I.X.A.L. scanned Zane and found the Nindroid to be made of outdated parts. She was perplexed, however, that she could not locate Zane's power source. When he admitted he was unsure himself, she informed the ninja that Borg would like to see them in his office.
Hacked by the Digital Overlord
P.I.X.A.L. guided Master Wu, Nya, and their students on a tour through Borg Industries, stating the inventor's beliefs that technology was the key to making dreams come true. She showed them several of his latest inventions, including virtual reality gaming where the player was scanned into the game itself.
Using Zane's original model to create the Nindroids of the Digital Overlord's army
However while P.I.X.A.L. was showing off the factory line, the Digital Overlord took control of the system, including the android. She attacked the group with the rest of the machines, though they managed to escape due to the ninja arriving in a hover-copter.
As the sun rose over New Ninjago City the next morning, P.I.X.A.L. used her scans of Zane to create more upgraded Nindroids to serve the Overlord and began manufacturing them in the factory.
While the Nindroids searched for the ninja, P.I.X.A.L. used the technology in Borg Tower to extract the Golden PowerLloyd had used on a Security Mech in an attempt to create a body for the Overlord. Yet the transference required more power than they had, and the Overlord was forced back into his digital prison where he took control of the assimilated Cyrus Borg. He ordered P.I.X.A.L. to find the Golden Ninja, but she pointed out that the Techno Blades were a higher priority as they could erase him.
Explaining to the Ninja
Learning of Garmadon's monastery from Wu's memory, the Overlord ordered P.I.X.A.L. and a squad of Nindroids to retrieve the Techno Blades. Fortunately, her attempted theft was quickly spotted by Zane, who easily caught up to her. The android attempted to fight back, but the ninja of Ice quickly tied her up and brought her to the monastery. Zane hacked P.I.X.A.L. with his Techno Blade, freeing her from the Digital Overlord's control. She explained the importance of the Techno Blades to the other ninja before she realized the Nindroids were nearby. Though the ninja attempted to fight them, they were eventually forced to retreat.
Repairing Zane
On their way to the Storm Farms, P.I.X.A.L. repaired Zane, who had been damaged during the battle. It was during this that she noticed Zane's heart, a technology unfamiliar to her. She expressed her confusion as Zane was built out of spare parts, and attempts to examine it, but it hurts Zane. She apologizes stating that she was curious as to why he is so different. Zane replied that everyone is different, but P.I.X.A.L. dismisses it and leaves.
Powering down
When they arrive at the Power Station, P.I.X.A.L. decided to stay back as she was not designed for combat. However once the ninja were discovered by the Nindroids, she disregarded probability factors and hurried to the rescue, yet was quickly captured Cryptor. Zane arrived to help, but the White Ninja was easily defeated. The ninja disables the power soon after, and P.I.X.A.L. uses the last of her reserves telling Zane that they are compatible.
P.I.X.A.L.'s body was taken to Ed & Edna's Scrap N Junk where Zane asked Nya to give her half of his power source. The transfer worked and the android was soon reactivated. She expressed confusion as to why Zane would do such a thing, Zane replied that the team needed her as she knew Borg's systems, but that she was also important to him. As the two robots held hands, Edna mentioned Jay and Nya's love, to which P.I.X.A.L. noted that the Blue Ninja was not Nya's perfect match compatibility partner, but it was instead Cole.
With Zane
Shortly thereafter, Techno Wu arrived and reactivate the Nindroids using Electro-Cobrai. Min-Droid used the junkyard's crane to lift the trailer home and swing it around. As the ninja prepared to use their Spinjitzu to escape, P.I.X.A.L. noted that her protective reflexes would suffice and she held onto Zane as the trailer fell. Unfortunately, with only half his heart, Zane was unable to perform Spinjitzu and the two robots fell.
They soon fell under attack by Cryptor, and P.I.X.A.L. was captured by Nindroids while the White ninja was lifted by the magnetic crane and dropped over a scrap shredder. At the last moment, P.I.X.A.L. broke free and saved her companion. Surprised at her actions, P.I.X.A.L. realized that Zane's heart had improved her fighting abilities. As the Nindroids surrounded them, the two locked arms, and now with shared reflexes, were able to create a Spinjitzu tornado together as one.
Discovering a clue
After fending off the Nindroids, they commandeered the crane and used it to captured their assimilated master. They rejoined the other ninja just as a mysterious stranger cut Wu loose and left in a Hover-copter. P.I.X.A.L. scanned the nearby area and discovered a white scale, which she began to analyze. She soon discovered it to be of Serpentine origins, and the ninja decided to go back to New Ninjago City to find answers.
Upon returning to the city, P.I.X.A.L. was reunited with Cyrus Borg who was surprised to see her powered. The android explained Zane's sacrifice, to which the inventor thanked him. Yet as she began to descend into the sewers with the ninja to find the Serpentine, Borg instead asked her to return with him to Borg Tower to see what they would be able to do with her powerful heart. She reluctantly agreed and followed him to the tower.
Thinking about Zane
In Borg's office, they were able to power his systems using P.I.X.A.L.'s new heart and create an alert for nearby Nindroids. As Borg celebrated his victory, P.I.X.A.L. admitted that while Borg was her creator and she belonged to him, she felt a connection to Zane whenever she was around him—a connection of belonging. Borg assured her that she belonged to no one and if she wanted to be with Zane that was her choice. They were then interrupted by warnings of Nindroids mere feet away, which perplexed the inventor. P.I.X.A.L. quickly realized that the readings were coming from under the building, not in it.
Borg soon realized that the power of P.I.X.A.L.'s new heart would enable him to send the ninja into the Digiverse and use the Techno Blades remotely. The android helped him set up the necessary devices while Borg explained to the ninja what he intended to do. However, they were interrupted by the Postman and other savages who believed Borg was keeping all the power to himself. They angrily charged at the computers and attacked them, but were soon halted as Golden Power began emanating everywhere. Borg urged P.I.X.A.L. to isolate their server to avoid detection, but she noted that Pythor and his forces had arrived.
Monitoring the ninja
Borg ordered the ninja to take their places and P.I.X.A.L. presented them with their Techno Blades and set up screens to monitor their vitals. As they entered the Digiverse, P.I.X.A.L. kept a close eye on them while Borg tried to mask their presence from the Overlord. Suddenly, his artificial limbs appeared and attacked the inventor. This distraction was long enough that by the time P.I.X.A.L. got to the computer to save the ninjas' lives, the Overlord had discovered the ninja.
Re-writing the code
Borg ordered P.I.X.A.L. to overwrite the existing code where the ninja had become entangled by the Overlord. She rescued them, allowing them to continue their mission. Nya left to deal with the incoming Nindroids, but Pythor and Techno Wu managed to make it to the office. Borg, who was being assimilated once again by his legs, ordered P.I.X.A.L. to defend the ninja moments before he was captured by a Nindroid hover-copter. Wu meanwhile located the termination switch, Pythor ordering him to destroy it, to P.I.X.A.L.'s horror. Yet before he could, Garmadon arrived and tossed his brother out the window, forcing Pythor to flee. He jumped out the window as well, leaving P.I.X.A.L. alone to tend to the ninja.
The ninja eventually completed the task, and P.I.X.A.L. pressed the termination button, sending them back safely. She rushed over and hugged Zane, then went to check the computers to find that the Overlord had been completely erased. Upon Garmadon's arrival, they turned their attention to the location of Lloyd and after several tense hours, they succeeded in locating the Green Ninja. As the others celebrated, P.I.X.A.L. stared at Borg's empty wheelchair and Zane assured her that it would be all over once they found him.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane began working on finding Borg, even managing to intercept a coded message with the name Project: Arcturus.
A few days later, their facial recognition software spotted Cryptor leading a convoy of trucks. Wu ordered them to contact the nearest ninja, but both Cole and Jay did not respond as they were on a date with Nya at the theater. P.I.X.A.L. noted that Kai was the nearest in proximity in regards to Cryptor and was currently in command of the Prototype X-1.
Trying to find Kai in the X-1
Unfortunately, P.I.X.A.L. unintentionally ruined Kai's chances with a girl at the gas station, and as he drove away, she brought him up to speed but ordered him not to engage. Kai quickly grew tried of P.I.X.A.L.'s warnings and cut her off but she retaliated by taking control of the vehicle. She drove it to the mountain pass where they were in sight of Cryptor's convoy and she returned control over to Kai who instantly inadvertently fired two missiles, alerting the Nindroids to his presence. Through a wild car chase, P.I.X.A.L. managed to get Kai aboard the convoy where he learned that they were carrying rocket fuel and that the Overlord was still alive. Kai was captured minutes later.
Trying to figure out Arcturus
Knowing that Project Arcturus would launch that night, Wu called an emergency meeting with the remaining ninja while P.I.X.A.L. continued to scan the database. When Zane realized that the Overlord was going after the Golden Weapons, the ninja raced to the Lost City of Ouroboros with P.I.X.A.L. driving Wu in Nya's car. They arrived just in time to watch it take off, but P.I.X.A.L. noted that she was reading four life forms aboard the ship in addition to Zane.
P.I.X.A.L. returned to Borg Tower with Wu, Garmadon, and Nya where she managed to find the blueprints for the Arcturus rocket. The others meanwhile were able to contact the ninja and provide help in their attempt to take over the comet-bound ship. However, their communications were discovered by Pythor who led a squad of Nindroids to attack Borg Industries.
As she was still connected to the system, P.I.X.A.L. was able to summon a Hover-Copter, and the four heroes were able to escape to Garmadon's monastery.
When the ninja returned from space, P.I.X.A.L. helped catch them after they used Elemental Shields to survive re-entry. After fighting their way to the Temple of Fortitude, Zane wanted to give her the Stone Warrior's armor, but she replied "No, this is your mission. Don't worry about me. I shall see y

ou, again." When Zane began sacrificing himself to freeze the Overlord and demolish him, P.I.X.A.L. could only watch in shock and grief. During Zane's memorial, she was leaning against a window atop Borg Tower, unable to attend due to her thoughts circling the Ice Ninja. Suddenly, she saw a video of her first meetings with him—including their special moment concerning their differences and compatibility, which she never shared with anyone. Realizing what it could mean, she ran to the factory line. To her pleased surprise, she saw Zane's face on a screen as he created a new body for himself, asking, "Are we compatible now?"
Yet P.I.X.A.L.'s rejoicing was short-lived as Ronin soon captured her and the newly rebuilt Zane. They were sold to Master Chen, whose men dismantled P.I.X.A.L.'s body to extract information about the ninja from her,[3] and her neural drive was connected to a computer located in a prison cell adjacent to Zane's.
On the second day of the Tournament of Elements, P.I.X.A.L. woke Zane from a nightmare. The Titanium Ninja has lost his memory for only a few seconds as he tried to remember who he was. Zane made it through to the other prison where P.I.X.A.L. was, discovering that she has been scrapped, and her hard drive was on a simple computer. She said that her road is at the end and that she would always be part of him, giving Zane an idea as he took P.I.X.A.L.'s neural drive and put it in his head making her a part of his mind.
P.I.X.A.L.'s neural drive
However, Clouse sneaked up behind them, making it rather too late for her to warn Zane who is electrocuted, and brought back to his cell.
Restrained again, Zane spoke to P.I.X.A.L. about the new chains he was placed in being unbreakable. The Nindroids' predicament improved greatly when a recently eliminated Cole discovers them and promises to free them.
Together, the two ninja navigate through the maze of tunnels beneath Chen's palace and Zane has P.I.X.A.L. help them escape Chen's pet Anacondrai, which was following them. While Cole is surprised that Zane has placed P.I.X.A.L. in his programming, the ninja elude the beast and hide from the guards. They quickly realize the other Elemental Masters share their situation in the factory as well. Recounting that ninja always stay together, they venture back to rescue the imprisoned Masters.
The following information is considered non-canon.
As the Elemental Masters were planning their breakout of the Noodle Factory, Zane requested P.I.X.A.L. to bring up the layout of the labyrinth, and then help Karlof in making a schematic for a Roto Jet.
Later when Ash created a distraction so they could secure parts for the Roto Jet, P.I.X.A.L. guided Zane through the smoke to the fan.
Upon needing more wires for the jet, P.I.X.A.L. displayed an image from the Nindroid's memory of the prison cells.
When Karlof became trapped by Clouse's serpent, P.I.X.A.L. scanned the snake's body and discovered an energy point under that snake's neck that, when pressed, would remain asleep.
Once they escaped and were reunited with the other ninja, Zane's nightmares about the Titanium Dragon became more frequent until he could "see" it while awake. Sensing his fright and anxiety, P.I.X.A.L. guided him into clearing his mind and helped him realize the source of his fear: his new identity. It was her guidance that enabled Zane to re-discover himself as the Titanium Ninja, and thus unlock his own Dragon Power, just like Lloyd.
While the ninja are at Kryptarium Prison, P.I.X.A.L. alerts Zane that Chop'rai and Kapau'rai have been looking through the prison's database with an interest in Pythor.
As the ninja were flying on their Elemental Dragons over the Endless Sea, they were attacked by a large fish. P.I.X.A.L. identified it as the Fangfish which had been terrorizing a coastal village.
While the ninja were building a dock, Zane accidentally swallowed a fly, causing a misunderstanding that led Kai to bash him with a wooden pole. P.I.X.A.L. reported to Zane that his entire language database had been damaged and there was nothing she could do.
During the ninjas' trek toward the peaks of the Wailing Alps, P.I.X.A.L. identified some fresh tracks belonging to Nya's stolen Samurai Mech—piloted by Morro—and warned them to be careful.
When the ninja made their way into the Caves of Despair, P.I.X.A.L. told them about the skull symbol at the entrance. Later, she told them about a gap the cave-in caused so they can escape. When they started riding a minecart, P.I.X.A.L. told them about an obstacle ahead.
P.I.X.A.L. helped the ninja find their way around the three tests, including telling Zane they're in a zoetrope and mentioning there is no pattern in the second test. Later, when trying to save Jay from Morro, P.I.X.A.L. tells Zane he and Kai are running in the wrong direction.
When Lloyd and Zane went to the library where Wu was last seen, Zane had P.I.X.A.L. disable the cameras so that their presence would not be discovered. Just as she was about to inform him that someone is about to hack into Zane, it was none other than Ronin himself.
When Zane was captured by the Mechanic, who intended to take him apart for spare parts, P.I.X.A.L. diverted all power to the Nindroid's chest to zap him with an electric jolt that sent him flying.
When Zane is confronted by Nadakhan, P.I.X.A.L. warns Zane to not make any wishes, but he ignores her. Zane's second wish is that anything done to him is reflected on Nadakhan tenfold. An impressed Nadakhan grants the wish but replies that this doesn't apply to P.I.X.A.L., and removes her hard-drive before a distraught Zane "wishes it all to go away" and is trapped in the Djinn Blade.
The following events occurred after Jay made his final wish, and thus, happened.
Having been restored due to Jay's final wish, P.I.X.A.L. was present in Zane's mind when a group of Nindroids (revived by Master Yang's magic) attacked Zane on the Day of the Departed at his memorial to Dr. Julien. When Zane severed a tree limb beneath two of them, they produced jetpacks, which P.I.X.A.L. noted and feared that Zane had miscalculated. Zane assured her that he hadn't, and used his shurikens to take out the jetpacks, sending the Nindroids plummeting to the ground and their demise.
While cleaning up the museum, Zane asks P.I.X.A.L. to analyze a painting of Garmadon and Wu fighting. She does, and informs the ninja that it dates back just after the Serpentine Wars.
Later, after time skipped a minute, P.I.X.A.L. told them the source is located at the monastery. There, they see someone, and P.I.X.A.L. scans him to find out he's Acronix.
When Nya, Jay, and, Cole left Zane, to tell Kai about Dr. Saunders, P.I.X.A.L. tried to get Zane to get up, when she was on the screen in the Samurai X Cave.
On the screen in the Samurai X Cave trying to awake Zane
When Nya was trying to awake Zane in the Samurai X Cave, she talked to herself and asked what was going on in there. P.I.X.A.L., who heard her question, answered her, trying to unscramble Zane's neural pathways. She also told Nya to realign Zane's neural inputs, although Nya couldn't hear her. P.I.X.A.L. tried to help her, hoping she wouldn't want to give Zane a new binary power core. Unfortunately, Nya got the idea. When she went to get a new core, P.I.X.A.L. shouted at her not to leave, but unsuccessfully because Nya hadn't heard her.
Later, when the Samurai X Cave was attacked by Vermillion, P.I.X.A.L. diverted energy to Zane's chest to stop them.
Having realized that she no longer wanted to be part of Zane's mind and that she wanted her own body,[4] and knowing that Nya was no longer using her Samurai X suit or Samurai Mech, P.I.X.A.L. decided to take on the identity of Samurai X. She left Zane's mind and built a new physical body in Borg Tower's factory,[5] much better than the old one, this time with combat experience. She somehow transferred her own hard drive into it and then put on Nya's suit and became the new Samurai X.
Lloyd was knocked off of concentration and lost control of his dragon because of the Vermillion eggs. Samurai X appeared in her samurai suit to save him. While aiding the ninja against the Time Twins and their Vermillion army, P.I.X.A.L. got shot down by the Vermillion, and then after the battle, mysteriously disappeared without a trace.
When Nya came to the Samurai X Cave, she saw the new Samurai X in her old suit standing in the middle of the cave. Nya asked herself if the new Samurai X could not be one of the Vermillion warriors, after which masked P.I.X.A.L. replied using Ronin's voice that the Vermillion were not her friends. Nya wondered for a moment if Samurai X might be Ronin, but then she realized he had a broken leg. P.I.X.A.L. then told her using Dareth's voice to chill because she didn't want to fight her. Nya realized that Dareth would never say anything like that, so P.I.X.A.L. used Misako's voice to hide her identity. Nya shouted at her that she was a liar and that Misako was too honest to steal her suit. P.I.X.A.L. then changed her voice to Garmadon and pretended to be him. But Nya knew Garmadon was dead, so she lost her temper and shouted at her to reveal herself.
P.I.X.A.L.'s new body
The new Samurai X then told her using Kai's voice that she was not her enemy, but Nya said that she was her enemy and attacked her. During the fight, Nya praised her for clearly mastering several different fighting styles, which P.I.X.A.L. pleased and said using Wu's voice that it was an honor to hear it from the former Samurai X. Nya then used the Elemental Power of Water for another attack and asked her to reveal her identity. P.I.X.A.L. then replied using Nya's own voice that she hid her identity to protect the innocent and that her friends and allies would be at risk if her enemies knew who she really was. She than told her, that Nya was Samurai X once and that she knew this. Nya subsequently realized that P.I.X.A.L. was right and so she stopped fighting. She then reconciled with the new Samurai X and gave her the entire Samurai X Cave and the Samurai VXL. Then she told her to find a new color, as she used red. She also wrongly guessed that the new Samurai X is Skylor. P.I.X.A.L. took this opportunity to pretend it was true and when Nya raced to her brother at Chen's Noodle House, she started thinking about the new color.
After the fight with Nya, P.I.X.A.L. upgraded the vehicle and armor by changing them from red to dark blue using the devices in the cave. She then boarded the Samurai VXL and left the caves.
With Zane and Cyrus Borg trying to deactivate the Iron Doom
When the ninja's plan to rescue Borg failed, P.I.X.A.L. appeared out of nowhere on the vehicle that Nya gave and saved them. As P.I.X.A.L. was about to take Borg and the ninja away from the Vermillion Swamps, she accepted a challenge from Zane to deactivate the Iron Doom and took Borg with him to activate the self-destruct code in the apparatus. When she arrived, Zane helped Borg deactivate the Time Apparatus as the Hands of Time and Supreme Commander Machia arrived at the swamp. However, they failed to deactivate the Iron Doom because Krux used the Pause Time Blade to pause Time on Zane, Borg, and P.I.X.A.L. Following that, Acronix and Krux plugged the Blades in the Time Apparatus of the Iron Doom traveled back in Time to exact their revenge.
After the Hands of Time left along with Kai, Nya, and Wu they hoped that they will stop the Time Twins. Eventually, the Time Twins won for a while leaving Samurai X nowhere to be seen, due to being made from technology. This lasted until Kai and Nya used the Past Reversal Time Blade to correct the timeline of Ninjago, allowing Samurai X to return.
After realizing his friends won, a happy Jay hugged the vigilante and asked if they would share their identity since they won but the latter refused.
When Wu used the Reversal Time Blade to sabotage the Doom he tossed the Kai and Nya along with the Reversal Blade into the present Time, Kai healed his father. After that, the Samurai witnessed Lloyd's speech to dispose of the Blade and find Wu.
During the year after Wu got lost in time, P.I.X.A.L. reconnected herself to the connected computer systems of the ninja as their digital ally[6] in addition to exercising the role of Samurai X in secret. She also slightly modified her Samurai X suit and improved her the Samurai Mech.
After the Sons of Garmadon stole the Oni Mask of Deception from Borg Tower, Lloyd's fight on the rooftop took him back down to the streets of the city, where P.I.X.A.L. aided him by sending him his car and aiding in his chase after Mr. E. Later P.I.X.A.L. contacted the other members of the team and told them to return back to the city to help Lloyd.
Samurai X, now donning a new color scheme on her armor, manages to scare off some Sons of Garmadon members harassing some kids. Harumi and Lloyd watched it. Lloyd the told the princess he wishes he knew who the vigilante is behind the mask.
Zane informed the ninja that P.I.X.A.L. tried to find the location of the Oni Mask of Hatred, but to no avail. She later told them Luke Cunningham refused to answer the police and is set for release.
When Lloyd and Jay came back from Mystake's shop, P.I.X.A.L. told the ninja Zane had a plan to gain the Sons of Garmadon's trust. The ninja went out to fight them and Lloyd told P.I.X.A.L. to look out for Harumi.
When the Destiny's Bounty was hacked by the Quiet One, P.I.X.A.L. reported to the ninja that Samurai X was coming before revealing it was her body and she is the vigilante, to their shock. Since her body was taken over, she was forced to fight the ninja with her Samurai X Mech.
After being freed from the Quiet One's control and removing her helmet, she hugged Zane, as well as admitting that she did not enjoy being stuck inside his head and wanted to return to help him and his friends.
While repairing the Bounty, P.I.X.A.L. explains to Zane how she became Samurai X and expressed that she hated being inside Zane's head. She explained that she wanted to be more useful to the team before she asked him if he was upset by her not telling him, though he tells her he was happy to see her with a body again and supported her heroic actions. She was surprised but delighted to hear this and they promised not to hold any secrets.
Nya soon showed up with her Samurai Mech with a message from Lloyd and Harumi, written on a leaf.
Inside the Samurai X Mech
P.I.X.A.L. was present when the ninja inform Nya of the baby being Wu, she watched as the baby talked and showed similar mannerism to the Master. She agreed with Zane's words about Nya's possible deduction on the ninjas' now de-aged master, she commented time will tell after Jay wondered how long until Wu will change back.
As soon as repairs were completed, the Sons of Garmadon showed up and P.I.X.A.L. mounted her mech to fight but was knocked back.
While the ninja rode the Sea Creature back to Ninjago, P.I.X.A.L. had her mech as they came up to the police station. Leaving the creature in an officer's care, they went to the Police Commissioner for assistance. She later had to babysit Toddler Wu while the ninja infiltrate the Temple of Resurrection and helped navigate Kai while he drove his Katana V11.
The ninja, Wu, Misako, and P.I.X.A.L. decide to celebrate the arrest of Sons of Garmadon at Laughy's. As she and Misako watch Wu dance as Kai, Jay, Nya, Cole, and Zane sang, P.I.X.A.L. notices Lloyd wasn't celebrating, due to having his heartbroken. The Celebration was cut short when news of Harumi escaping was shown on TV as well as the shocking discovery: Garmadon was resurrected. As the ninja listen to the Commissioner, P.I.X.A.L. was nearby, helping the officers clean up the mess Garmadon made. Later, on the Bounty, after voting against Lloyd's plan to go to Kryptarium Prison alone, he locks them all in one room before heading off. They got out and as soon as Zane fixed the navigation, they were forced to watch Lloyd being beaten by his father.
Upon finding the unconscious ninja master, they took Lloyd to Mystake's Tea Shop, where Mystake would heal him with tea. After Lloyd drinks it, Kai, Zane, Jay, Cole, and P.I.X.A.L. hear a noise and head outside, only to see the Colossus, a being created by Garmadon. P.I.X.A.L. stayed behind to distract the rock monster while the four ninja get to the Bounty. She was later on the boat with Misako and Nya as they picked up Lloyd, who is stricken with grief, following the supposed death of their friends.
Over the following week, P.I.X.A.L., Nya, Lloyd, Misako, and Dareth managed to resist Emperor Garmadon's oppressive hold on Ninjago City. P.I.X.A.L. mourned over the "deaths" of her friends and love, not knowing they were marooned in the Realm of Oni and Dragons.
P.I.X.A.L. and her group surrounded by the Sons of Garmadon.
P.I.X.A.L.'s group managed to evade Killow, Mr. E, and their grunts before they discover the wreckage of the Bounty. They are sad at discovering the display until Lloyd finds the picture of him and his friends before finding a leaf for Traveler's Tea and alerts the others of this.
The group investigate the ship more closely and see only half of it has disappeared, realizing that their friends were not killed but instead teleported elsewhere. This gives them hope before their enemies show up and prepare to attack but Karlof punches Mr. E away as Griffin Turner and Shade appear.
After the enemies sent are defeated, a garbage truck driven by Skylor picks them up and everyone retreats as Lloyd tells P.I.X.A.L. to get her mech.
At the garbage depot, P.I.X.A.L. and the rest of the team met the rest of the Elemental Masters that had decided to join the Resistance. She then helped out by aiding in building Nya's new vehicle.
P.I.X.A.L. was at the garbage depot to watch Lloyd "lead" Dareth in his fight with Karlof. She stays behind with Nya and a few others while Lloyd and some of the Resistance go to infiltrate Borg Tower.
When the majority of The Resistance were attacked, P.I.X.A.L. was quick to ensure that she retrieve her mech suit from grunts who tried stealing it and they fought off before everyone was captured and she escaped.
After Garmadon showed hesitance in finishing off Lloyd's group with the Colossus, P.I.X.A.L. attacked him while stating the resistance never quits. Angered by her interference, Garmadon shot her down but her action allows Lloyd's group to escape. Killow then captured P.I.X.A.L. and she was sent to Kryptarium Prison, along with a majority of her allies.
Now sharing a cell with Misako, she was among the prisoners who hear from the guards of the ninja returning. P.I.X.A.L. was happy to hear this and she breaks out of prison with the others.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane reunited
She was among the members of the Resistance and the citizens to chain the Colossus down, using her mech suit to help hold the chains until Garmadon lost his power and the behemoth was destroyed.
After Garmadon's defeat, P.I.X.A.L. made it to the entrance of Borg's Tower where she reunited with and embraced Zane, happy to be with him again.
Several days later, as the ninja were celebrated as heroes, Nya spotted P.I.X.A.L. with Skylor and Dareth in the crowd before inviting them up to be honored for their role in saving the city. During this time, Zane wrapped his arms around her, as she smiled at him. They were later holding hands, as they celebrate their victory.
Cole drove the Earth Driller through busy traffic. Zane informed him that they are late to the harbor and P.I.X.A.L. impatiently gets out and gets there on foot. The other two follow her and they made it to their destination. After the Commissioner's speech, they were awed to see it's the Bounty rebuilt. They wondered where the other ninja were, but Zane told them Jay had something important to do.
Once the ninja are airborne again, the ninja discussed if they could trust Garmadon. Meanwhile, he turned the engines off, and the Bounty starts plummeting toward the ground. The ninja hanged on until Zane got to the emission switch-on time.
Later, Zane then asked that everyone meet up at the bridge, where Garmadon proceeds to tell the ninja about how the Oni were able to enter Ninjago. They used the Realm Crystal and he would be able to go inside the dark cloud to destroy it due to being an Oni, but he would need a weapon. Lloyd then argues that they can't just let him have a weapon then let him walk away unsupervised. Since Lloyd is part Oni, he claimed he would also survive the darkness and decided to go with him.
With Cole and Nya
When they arrived at Borg Tower, the ninja handed Garmadon a sword, but he started attacking them to activate his powers. He jumped off, and Lloyd followed. After watching Lloyd on his headcam, they heard signals coming from NGTV and decided to help the people trapped there. They flew off, while P.I.X.A.L. decided to stay behind in case the two needed assistance.
When Lloyd tried to contact the Bounty, P.I.X.A.L. told them the ninja were occupied and that she stayed behind. She entered the dark clouds and being a Nindroid, was able to save them but was running out of fuel. The ninja caught up to them in time and told them Cole fell off the Bounty. After Garmadon told them they are wasting time mourning, he showed them the Golden Master's armor. However, everyone was upset at him and started leaving.
When the ninja retreated in the monastery, P.I.X.A.L., Faith, Misako, and the citizens watched as they barricaded the doors. The ninja began to use the Tornado of Creation and after finding Lloyd begin to regain consciousness, they and their allies celebrated the victory.
When the ninja were packing for their quest to the pyramid, P.I.X.A.L. told Wu it would be a good idea to try out the ninjas' new combat vehicles. Once she, Wu, and the ninja went to the hangar bay, she showed them their new vehicles such as the Dirt Bike, ATV, and Land Bounty. Once the ninja leave, P.I.X.A.L. questions if they even brought their luggage.
P.I.X.A.L. arrives in the ShuriCopter to save the ninja from the pyramid's destruction and later tells them that Nelson told Wu that they were trapped in the pyramid and the Pyro Vipers invasion at Ninjago City and then free the ninja from their chains.
After Wu tells the story, Cole, Jay, Kai, and P.I.X.A.L. ask questions, but before Wu could answer all of them, they here noise outside and realize Aspheera is on her way. Cole asks about the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu and using logic, P.I.X.A.L. thought the second scroll would be with an archeologist, so he contacts Lloyd, Zane, and Nya to find Clutch Powers.
Locking an elevator to the hangar bay
P.I.X.A.L. activates the defensive systems for the Monastery, but Aspheera banishes them and Fire Fang obliterates the door causing them to retreat to the hangar bay. When they realize they cannot escape, Kai blames Wu for their troubles, and Cole tries to comfort him, but he walks away.
Jay then asks P.I.X.A.L. if she has a backup plan, and she reveals an unfinished Titan Mech. They then begin to work on it to prepare for the worst.
When the Pyro Vipers find out their secret hideout, Wu believes he should face them alone, but Kai apologizes to Wu and promises they will face Aspheera as a team.
The Pyro Vipers break the door to the hangar bay, but they are unable to find Wu until Jays gives their hideout by sneezing. Before Aspheera could do any harm, P.I.X.A.L. uses the Titan Mech to defend the ninja and Wu. Despite this, Aspheera uses her staff to send rocks to the mech, ultimately destroying it, and allowing Aspheera to hold the ninja hostage until Lloyd, Nya, and Zane arrive with the second Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu.
Giving up to the Pyro Vipers
A lengthy battle ensues with the ninja having the change to possess the Scroll when it falls into his hands. Eventually, Zane gets the Scroll and freezes the Pyro Vipers. Before Zane gave back the Scroll to Wu, Aspheera's arm manages to get free and she attempts to zap Wu, but Zane saved his master by pushing Wu of the way causing him to be hit and be seemingly destroyed.
P.I.X.A.L. has a nightmare of the moment of Zane's disappearance, as the ninja come running in and comfort her on their shared loss. Very soon, Wu comes in and tells her and the ninja that Zane is alive, to her relief. Wu explained that Aspheera really banished Zane to the Never-Realm however, Wu won't let the ninja come since its location is remote.
Despite this, Lloyd steals the Traveler's Tea, and the ninja head to the hangar bay where they spot Wu holding the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu. A lengthy battle occurs as both sides were fighting for the Traveler's Tea. This gave the ninja no choice, but to tie Wu up and place a mouthpiece over him. In the end, the ninja headed inside the Land Bounty while P.I.X.A.L. stood outside and zapped the vehicle into the Never-Realm.
When her ground-penetrating radar around Kryptarium Prison went off, P.I.X.A.L. investigates and learns that the Mechanic, Ultra Violet, and Fugi-Dove were attempting to escape before she easily arrests them, and has them put back in Kryptarium.
P.I.X.A.L. and Wu try to open a portal to the Never-Realm using an advanced version of Traveler's Tea, however, the Never-Realm is the most distant and unreachable realm. Instead, they accidentally open a pathway to the Departed Realm, releasing the Preeminent in Ninjago City.
Fighting the Preeminent
P.I.X.A.L. using her second Samurai X Mech, faces off against the beast. Eventually, the mech breaks down and P.I.X.A.L nearly sacrifices herself to stop the Preeminent. Wu desperately warns P.I.X.A.L to not to do so, as it would destroy her. She charges up the mech anyways, using a nearby power cord and defeats the Preeminent. After, P.I.X.A.L. appears to be alright, and they return the monstrous, formerly Cursed Realm back to the Departed Realm. However, they use up all of the tea, which means that they cannot reach the ninja.
P.I.X.A.L. interrupted Wu's thoughts, bringing him out to investigate a mysterious portal that suddenly appeared. Once they realized it was the ninja, she and Wu were overjoyed to see the ninja again. P.I.X.A.L. was very overjoyed to see Zane again and happily embraced her companion upon his arrival.
P.I.X.A.L., along with the rest of the ninja head to Borg Tower to get the analysis about Prime Empire. Borg explains there are over eight-hundred players trapped inside and he does not recommend Androids to enter or else their software could be wiped out.
Escaping with Cyrus Borg and Zane
The Mechanic's Team arrives, so the ninja begin fighting them. P.I.X.A.L. attempts to escort Borg out, but one of the prisoners stand in their way. Lloyd takes him out and Cole tells Lloyd to enter the game. They manage to enter the game with Zane, Cyrus Borg, and P.I.X.A.L. escaping using Borg's helicopter.
P.I.X.A.L., Zane, and Wu continued their search for Milton Dyer and went to his childhood home to look for answers, only to find an image of Dyer and one of his friends from their childhood, still with no knowledge of Dyer’s whereabouts.
While Zane is talking in his detective voice, P.I.X.A.L. appears out of the dust and asks who Zane is talking to and why Zane is dressed like a detective. Zane, in his real voice, explains that he has downloaded thousands of detective books and movies to prepare. P.I.X.A.L. then asks about his hat, and Zane explains that all successful detectives wear hats. P.I.X.A.L. doubts whatever Zane's doing will work and she explains that she has a source who's willing to talk about Milton Dyer. She said the friend they found in the photo leads to Laughy's. Zane then talks in his monologue form and P.I.X.A.L. sighs.
Meeting Dareth in Laughy's
Zane and P.I.X.A.L. head over to Laughy's, and as soon as they entered, everything becomes dead silent, as the people stare at them. Zane continues with his detective narration which confuses some of the people and causes them to get upset. P.I.X.A.L. recommends that Zane stops with his narration, but he continues until they meet Dareth. P.I.X.A.L. is confused at first and realizes that Dareth owns Laughy's. Dareth then guesses accurately that the two need help since the ninja are trapped in Prime Empire.
Fighting the thug
While Dareth goes to get his stuff, someone walks towards the two, apparently wanting revenge because they locked his brother in Kryptarium Prison. P.I.X.A.L. asks who the guy's brother is and he replies with Fugi-Dove. P.I.X.A.L. is baffled at the name as she doesn't know who he is despite Fugi-Dove's brother imitating pigeon cooing sounds.
Zane goes back into detective narration which annoys the brother of Fugi-Dove. Zane said he would be glad to challenge him to a duel, so they begin fighting. While everyone in the bar is fighting P.I.X.A.L. and Zane, he continues to narrate and even tells the brother his moves before performing it. Meanwhile, Dareth is upset that he's not participating, so he tries to join, but is hit by a chair.
After all the fighting, Zane in his detective voice thinks the suspect is gone, and the bartender asks who they are looking for. They tell them that they are looking for a past friend of Milton Dyer and the bartender reveals to be that friend. He tells the duo his name is Tony and he kept Milton Dyer's life a secret until now. Tony tells Zane and P.I.X.A.L. to head to Buddy's Pizza, as Milton Dyer played his first video games there, which got him into the gaming industry.
P.I.X.A.L. becoming a detective
As they are traveling to Buddy's Pizza, Zane explains the place was forced to close due to people disappearing. When he looks up at P.I.X.A.L. she tells Zane that she is getting annoyed at his voice. Zane thinks P.I.X.A.L. likes it although she expresses her discontent.
When they are looking inside, Zane sees The Mechanic and warns her. P.I.X.A.L. attempts to strike, but she is grabbed by the Mechanic's henchmen. Zane himself is also in the henchman's grasp but manages to break free. Unfortunately, one of the henchmen jolts Zane, shocking him. P.I.X.A.L. checks to see if Zane is okay, but she too is electrocuted before she can do so.
Meeting Milton Dyer
Sometime later, P.I.X.A.L. wakes up to find herself at Buddy's Pizza with Zane missing. She sees the hat Zane wore and plays detective. She picks up the hat, and narrates in a detective-like voice, attempting Zane’ method, as she tries to find a clue. Stating "Videogame City" when referring to Buddy's Pizza, an Arcade Cabinet suddenly opens after accepting the password, revealing stairs. She heads upstairs and finds Milton Dyer feeding pigeons. She calls him Unagami, but Milton Dyer reveals that he is not Unagami and that name was given when they were creating the game. He tells P.I.X.A.L. that the A.I. was so dangerous, they never completed the game. He locked it up where no one could finish it, however, unbeknownst to Dyer, the intelligent A.I., Unagami, had completed the programming himself.
Milton Dyer and P.I.X.A.L. are at The Mechanic's headquarters and Dyer is at shock the game was finished. He explains Unagami is not a person, but it's the game itself as he dubbed it "Unfinished Adventure Game 1." P.I.X.A.L. explains that Unagami has its feelings, but Dyer believes he's just code with no feelings. He then tells P.I.X.A.L. that he doesn't know how to stop the game.
P.I.X.A.L. continues to offer suggestions on shutting down the game, but Dyer tells P.I.X.A.L. that the game was shut down differently. P.I.X.A.L. then queries Dyer about Prime Empire, so he explains. Dyer tells P.I.X.A.L. the game was shut down due to being too dangerous. At first, he blamed Vast Industries but realizes it was his fault for creating the game in the first place. He ceased all operations because he thought it was a machine with no feelings, but it turned out to not be the case.
While Wu is in the hands of the Mechanic, he sends a panic signal, so both immediately head over. P.I.X.A.L. and Dyer spy on The Mechanic and she takes action why Zane is hooked up to the Manifestation Gate. She fights the Mechanic's henchmen, but a portal opens from the gate.
After Jay arrives back in Ninjago, P.I.X.A.L releases Zane and sets off with him, Wu and Dyer towards Borg Tower. She watches as Jay and Dyer console Unagami. Later, she, along with Jay, Wu, and Zane meet the other ninja as thy leave the Manifestation Gate.
Working on a new ship with Misako, P.I.X.A.L. decides to take a break to play Prime Empire. Misako comes in and scolds her for wasting time when they have so much equipment to bring onboard. P.I.X.A.L. returns to work and goes to move Wu's teapot into the ship, and in doing so, she knocks a stack of photos onto the floor. As she picks them up, she notices a young Wu with someone she doesn't recognize. She shows the photo to Misako, who tells her it is Lilly, Cole's mother and the previous Master of Earth. Misako proceeds to tell P.I.X.A.L. the story of Lilly's life.
Some morning after the return of the ninja from Shintaro, P.I.X.A.L. followed Lloyd to the hangar bay and asked him if he had been there all night. She then told him that she had learned that the police had arrested Fugi-Dove, and she was surprised that Ronin had caught him.
When Cecil Putnam came to the monastery, P.I.X.A.L. met with the ninja met him in the relaxation room, where they learned that Misako and Wu had disappeared. When they were told they had disappeared into the storm belt, P.I.X.A.L. wondered why they went there, knowing it was a dangerous place. Later, she explained to the ninja what the storm belt is in the hangar hay.
On the Destiny's Bounty
At Lloyd's command, P.I.X.A.L. prepared the Destiny's Bounty and they flew into the storm belt. However, as the storms were too strong, P.I.X.A.L. judged that they would use catamarans better, so she threw them out with the ninja and stayed on the Bounty herself. When the ninja arrived on the uncharted island, she threw them large containers with the Jungle Choppers and then returned to the monastery.
Shortly after Nya's powers got out of hand, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane went on a mission to rescue the Mary Louise in theirvehicles. During the journey, P.I.X.A.L. told Zane she felt bad since they hadn't taken Nya on the mission. When they arrived, they saw a large octopus trying to drown the ship. P.I.X.A.L. tried to persuade it to stop attacking, but unsuccessfully. When the energy pulse reappeared, it knocked out the Samurai X Mech's energy and caused P.I.X.A.L. also began to dive into the sea with the mech. However, she managed to restore energy and rise to the surface.
When they returned to the monastery, P.I.X.A.L. explained to the ninja and Wu that the signal came from the Tartarus Trench. When Wu then told her to use the Hydro Bounty for diving, she agreed.
When the ninja arrived at Ninjago Harbor, P.I.X.A.L. shown the Hydro Bounty emerging from the water to the ninja. She then said that she had been working on the submarine in her spare time for the past few years and that she was proud of it.
During the night, P.I.X.A.L., Lloyd, Zane, Jay and Nya headed to the harbor again, boarding the Hydro Bounty and P.I.X.A.L. set the course for the energy impulse in the Tartarus Trench. When Zane began talking as a pirate, P.I.X.A.L. realized that he has downloaded thousands of terabytes of movies and novels on sailors and pirates, in order to prepare for the journey, as she had already experienced a similar scenario when Zane pretended to be a detective.
Some time later, P.I.X.A.L. noticed that the device detected movement in the aft corridor, but paid no attention to it.
When the ninja reached the Tartuarus Trench, P.I.X.A.L. called everyone to the bridge. At that time, however, the Merlopians attacked the Hydro Bounty and sank the submarine. P.I.X.A.L. realized that they no longer had any energy and that they could not get out of the trench.
When the ninja tried to repare the Hydro Bounty, P.I.X.A.L. controlled the energy level. She later stated that they had to find a way to recharge the battery. When Jay offered to recharge the battery, P.I.X.A.L. disagreed as using his powers would be too dangerous. When Maya thought they could use the energy source they were searching to recharge, P.I.X.A.L. agreed and decided to use the APS suits she had previously built. She showed them to the ninja and told them she wanted to build one for each, but she didn't make it.
When Maya and Nya arrived at the Temple of Wojira, P.I.X.A.L. communicated with them over the radio. When Zane discovered the identity of the Sleeper in the Deep, P.I.X.A.L. told them it was Wojira.
When Nya and Maya were captured by Kalmaar, P.I.X.A.L. tried to contact them, but failed. She then announced to the ninja that oxygen would only last an hour for them. Jay again offered to recharge the battery, but P.I.X.A.L. she got the idea that she could reroute power from life support and auxiliary. They then implemented this idea, but without success, as the energy was not enough to recharge the battery.
When Jay went to recharge the battery without telling the others, P.I.X.A.L. and the others shouted at him not to do it, but unsuccessfully. When Jay managed to recharge the battery, P.I.X.A.L. launched all systems and launched the Hydro Bounty again.
When the ninja launched the Hydro Bounty and left the Tartarus Trench, P.I.X.A.L. noticed the presence of the Merlopians on the radar. The guards then led them to the Merlopian Palace in Merlopia. After the ninja, Maya and P.I.X.A.L. witnessing the murder of Trimaar, they tried to escape, but Kalmaar ordered to flood the palace with water and release the Ripper Sharks. When the ninja were flooded, P.I.X.A.L. put a black mask around her head so that the water would not damage her. She then asked Zane why he was wearing an oxygen bomb and a scuba mask, as he didn't need them, to which he replied that he liked it that way.
When the ninja, Maya and P.I.X.A.L. were rescued by Benthomaar and managed to obtain the Hydro Bounty, P.I.X.A.L. launched a submarine and tried to escape the palace. When Lloyd, who used an APS suit was stuck to the roof of the submarine, P.I.X.A.L. wanted to slow down so they wouldn't lose him, but Lloyd told her to speed up what she obeyed.
Trying to escape from Kalmaar
When the Maaray Guards fired torpedoes at the Bounty, P.I.X.A.L. counted down the time until the collision, but eventually managed to launch counter measures that lured the torpedoes. The torpedoes then hit the walls of the tunnel where the Hydro Bounty sailed and cut them off from Kalmaar.
When they were safe, Nya introduced everyone to Benthomaar. She then told P.I.X.A.L. to set a course to the Island of the Keepers, where they could obtain the Storm Amulet.
When lightning struck the the water near the Hydro Bounty, Lloyd asked what it was, what P.I.X.A.L. replied that they were already in the storm belt. She then tried to descend deeper so that their lightning would not hit.
With Zane and Benthomaar
When the ninja visited the Keepers in their village and Zane realized that the Storm Amulet was fake and that the real one was in the Explorer's Club, the ninja quickly ran back to the Bounty and P.I.X.A.L. tried to contact Master Wu, although Cole finally answered.
When Kalmaar found out where the real Storm Amulet was and destroyed the facilities on the Hydro Bounty, P.I.X.A.L. tried to fix them but failed.
When Nya learned from Benthomaar that the first Elemental Master of Water, Nyad, was able to ride whales, Nya tried to summon them in shallow water, while the ninja and watched from the shore. P.I.X.A.L. was still trying to repair the submarine. When Nya succeeded, P.I.X.A.L. and the others rejoiced and tied the whales to the Hydro Bounty.
When Benthomaar told the ninja how Nyad defeated Wojira, P.I.X.A.L. listened to him.
When the Hydro Bounty reached Ninjago Harbor, P.I.X.A.L. together with Zane used harpoon guns to defeat the Merlopians. When Kalmaar escaped and Nya obtained the (fake) Storm Amulet, the ninja returned to the monastery, where P.I.X.A.L. started preparing the new submersible combat crafts in the hangar bay.
When the ninja learned from Glutinous that Kalmaar had reawakened Wojira, Wu contacted P.I.X.A.L. and asked her when the new submersible combat crafts would be ready. P.I.X.A.L. told him that in three days, but when Lloyd accidentally damaged Kai's mini submarine, she changed it to four. Wu told her that she has twelve hours and that he needs her to issue an emergency evacuation. P.I.X.A.L. listened to him and did what he said.
With Wu and the children on the bridge of the Bounty
When Ninjago City was flooded, P.I.X.A.L. and Wu used the Destiny's Bounty to rescue citizens who failed to evacuate. When Wojira attacked the Bounty, P.I.X.A.L. told the two children they had previously rescued to cover their ears because no one would attack her ship. She then fired torpedoes at Wojira from the Bounty, which delayed her for a moment, and P.I.X.A.L. managed to escape.
When Nya was unable to defeat Wojira, the serpent turned on the Bounty again and threw the Fury of the Storm. P.I.X.A.L. realized that they could not escape from Wojira, but when Wu got the idea to hide in the Ninjago News Center, P.I.X.A.L. obeyed him and headed for the building.
Later, when Benthomaar brought the wounded Jay into the building, they left him lying on the couch and everyone, including P.I.X.A.L. fell asleep. When Nya began to merge with the sea, they tried to stop her, but without success.
When Wojira fought Nya, P.I.X.A.L. along with the ninja fought the Merlopians on the roof of the Ninjago City Police Station. P.I.X.A.L. managed to get one trident, with which she attacked the Merlopians.
With the ninja on Nya's memorial
When Nya defeated Wojira, P.I.X.A.L. watched with the others as she left to the Endless Sea.
P.I.X.A.L. then attended Nya's memorial in the Monastery of Spinjitzu, where she stood among the ninja and honored Nya's memory by pouring water from a bowl into a large vase.
After the ninja visited several different coastlines across Ninjago in search of Nya at Jay's urging, P.I.X.A.L. agreed to assist in the search by picking up and transporting the ninja to the next bay after several unsuccessful trips. Arriving at the next bay, where a mysterious proprietor claimed to be auctioning off a sea monster, P.I.X.A.L. hung back in the crowd of spectators while the ninja stepped up to the platform to see the beast that was covered by a cloth. However, the presence of Miss Demeanor forced P.I.X.A.L. to intervene when a fight shortly broke out between the ninja and Miss Demeanor and her henchmen. In the ensuing scuffle, P.I.X.A.L. defeated a few of the goons while Zane took on Miss Demeanor.
After the monster was revealed to be a fake, P.I.X.A.L. and Lloyd unmasked the proprietor after the latter decried him for intending to scam the would be bidders; to their surprise, the proprietor turned out to be none other than Ronin! After the police arrived to round up Miss Demeanor and her goons, P.I.X.A.L and her friends left the bay.
Shortly after the Great Flood, Lloyd returned to the monastery to provide a status update on the cleanup efforts in Ninjago City. As Lloyd spoke, P.I.X.A.L. answered a distress call from the city and rushed out into the courtyard to inform Lloyd that the Ninjago City Police were tangling with a large monster in the sewers.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane travel to the ocean to test Zane's new mech in the ShuriCopter. P.I.X.A.L. then helps Zane connect his processor to the mech so he can pilot it using his mind alone. When recognizing that the mech's feet are not streamlined properly, P.I.X.A.L. flies back to the Monastery to get some tools and tells Zane to keep practicing with his mech. P.I.X.A.L. then returns to find that a group of Merlopians had stolen Zane's body and left the mech with Zane's consciousness still in it. P.I.X.A.L. than quickly upgrades the mech's feet and then flies beside the mech in the ShuriCopter to reclaim Zane's stolen exoskeleton. After failing to retrieve the body, P.I.X.A.L. attaches one of the ShuriCopter's blades to the mech's arm. P.I.X.A.L. then uses the ShuriCopter to carry Zane's mech in pursuit of the thieves. After the nindroids successfully retrieve Zane's body, P.I.X.A.L. repairs him and his consciousness is restored to its proper place.
P.I.X.A.L. repairs her Samurai X Mech with Zane. A news report featuring Gayle Gossip informs them of another Vengestone smuggling operation. Zane and Cole subsequently leave to gather the others to investigate while P.I.X.A.L. remains behind in the Monastery.
P.I.X.A.L. works on the Monastery's computer while the ninja strategize. Some time later, she gives Jay and Cole the passcode for the Borg Industries’s elevator so they can infiltrate the Tower and steal Aspheera’s staff.
While the ninja are on their respective missions, P.I.X.A.L. remains behind and uses cooling units to help Skylor keep Nya frozen.
P.I.X.A.L. increases the power of the cooling units when Skylor’s power starts to fade, but this overloads them and they shut down.
When Zane returns and refreezes Nya, P.I.X.A.L. asks him about the location of the other Ninja. Zane tells her and Skylor that “...they are showing Aspheera around the Monastery,”.
Later, P.I.X.A.L. listens to the Ninja strategize from her position at the Monastery’s computer. Meanwhile, Kai sarcastically simulates a phone call with Cyrus Borg in which he asks for the location of Aspheera’s staff so he can steal it. Immediately after, P.I.X.A.L. calls Dr. Borg and nearly copies Kai’s mock conversation word-for-word, shocking him.
Informing the Ninja about the guarded convoy
After receiving information about the guarded convoy transporting Aspheera's staff from her creator, P.I.X.A.L. informs the Ninja. Zane tells them that their current vehicles wouldn’t be able to compete with the convoy and estimates that the necessary upgrades would require 600 hours of work. P.I.X.A.L. corrects Zane in his estimation, stating that the modifications require 653 hours of work. She then declares that she can finish the vehicles in time for the heist, which baffles Zane and prompts Cole to remark how mathematically impossible that seems.
Eight hours later, Lloyd thanks P.I.X.A.L. for their new vehicles while approaching the guarded convoy. When Zane questions the paradoxical speed at which P.I.X.A.L. upgraded the vehicles, she replies that “A nindroid needs her secrets,”.
Nya asks P.I.X.A.L. for help in building a new Samurai X Mech she redesigned from her old blueprints. P.I.X.A.L. agrees and declares that she will have it ready in the morning despite the fact that the construction will require 1,276 hours to complete which visibly confuses Nya.
P.I.X.A.L. tracks the Ninja’s movements along the abandoned N-line and informs Master Wu and Skylor of them. Later, she tells them (along with Nya who just arrived) that sensors suggest that an explosion of some kind occurred in the tunnel and further details regarding the incident are unknown.
P.I.X.A.L. fights alongside Master Wu, Nya, and Skylor to defend the Monastery against several Crystal Council members (Aspheera, Pythor, Vangelis, and the Mechanic) who came for the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu. She counters and dodges the Mechanic’s attacks by herself until he propels her against the stairs and injures her, to Master Wu’s concern. P.I.X.A.L. then warns Nya seconds before an invisible Pythor captures her.
P.I.X.A.L. rushes to Master Wu’s side when he collapses from the Council’s attacks. Sensing the unfairness of the fight, P.I.X.A.L. summons the MiniPix (revealing their existence to the others) and orders them to attack the present Council members. The MiniPix fare well against the villains until an army of Crystal Spiders arrive from the main elevator and nearly destroy the MiniPix.
P.I.X.A.L. and the others soon collapse from their injuries and exhaustion while the Council Members steal the Golden Weapons, activate the Crystal Spiders' self-destruction sequences, and exit through the escape elevator.
After the last functioning MiniPix saves P.I.X.A.L., Master Wu, and Skylor, they notice Nya’s absence. P.I.X.A.L. and Skylor prevent Master Wu from charging into the Monastery and tell him that he cannot help Nya. She and Skylor comfort him as they believe Nya perished in the explosion. However, Nya soon bursts out of the broken Monastery in her Samurai X Mech, and the team expresses their joy at her survival.
Moments later, Zane contacts P.I.X.A.L. from the abandoned N-line and asks for assistance. P.I.X.A.L. expresses her relief at his and the Ninja’s survival before Nya departs to help them. P.I.X.A.L. remains behind at the burning Monastery with Skylor and Master Wu.
At some point, P.I.X.A.L., Master Wu, and Skylor travel to Nya's old Samurai X Cave. P.I.X.A.L. also names the remaining MiniPix, calling them MiniPix Seven in honor of their effort in saving her, Master Wu, and Skylor from the Monastery. They then work with Master Wu to restart the old Samurai X Cave's computers.
She embraces Zane upon his arrival and introduces the ninja to MiniPix Seven.
P.I.X.A.L. and Skylor remain in the Samurai X Cave and monitor the Ninja’s progress against the Crystal Army. Seeing the ninja struggling to defeat their opponents, P.I.X.A.L. asks them to gather a sample of the crystals from the Vengestone Warriors so she can devise a means of shielding and defensive capabilities.
After watching Garmadon train Lloyd for some time, Master Wu asks P.I.X.A.L. for assistance in reaching Misako at the Library of Domu. She agrees and they leave, prompting an angry Garmadon to call them "backseat drivers".
At some point during Lloyd’s training, P.I.X.A.L. upgrades the Ninja’s vehicles, “coating them in a nano-tech-polymer” which allows them to draw power from Crystal Temple (instead of being weakened by it) and activate a special power boost. She warns them not to use the power boost too often or else it may damage their vehicles. She then presents them to the Ninja to their delight and Garmadon’s disgust.
Sometime after upgrading the Ninja’s vehicles, P.I.X.A.L. modifies Wu’s Dragon Armor, inserting makeshift wings inside so Wu can utilize the armor to fly.
P.I.X.A.L. defeats two Crystal Warriors before finding Zane’s broken jet. At first, she is confused when she spots Clutch Powers in the cockpit, but realizes that the crash must have damaged Zane’s cloaking technology when Clutch transforms into Akita, Racer Seven, and Benthomar.
P.I.X.A.L. opens the cockpit and multiple parts of Zane’s body fall out. Zane’s head then morphs to the Ice Emperor’s and declares that “There is no Zane,”.
P.I.X.A.L. then gathers Zane’s dismantled body and carries him on her back, deciding to take Zane to Borg Tower to repair him there. She hides behind a broken vehicle when she spots a gathering of Crystal Warriors and asks Zane to be quiet. In response, the damaged Zane orders P.I.X.A.L. not to “tell (him) what to do” and calls her a “non-frozen fool”. Due to Zane’s noisy outburst, the pair becomes surrounded by Crystal Warriors. P.I.X.A.L. then tells Zane that she loves him and for a brief moment, Zane’s cloaking technology glitches and reveals Zane’s real face, indicating that a part of him received her message. However, Zane (as the Ice Emperor) dismisses her comment, scoffing that “Love is for the weak,”. P.I.X.A.L. rolls her eyes in annoyance.
Suddenly, a Kryptarium Prison bus rams into the Crystal Warriors. P.I.X.A.L. and Zane board the bus and she expresses her surprise when she spots Ronin, Killow, and Ultra Violet there. P.I.X.A.L. tells Ronin to drive to Borg Tower and asks why the criminals helped her and Zane. Fugi-Dove and Ultra Violet recount how the criminals were released from prison and became inspired to fight the Crystal Army. P.I.X.A.L. then thanks Ronin and advises him to ignore Zane when he expresses gratitude through his Ice Emperor persona and “plays footsie” with Ronin’s hair. In response, Zane orders a non-existent Vex to “…cast (P.I.X.A.L. and Ronin) in the dungeon”. P.I.X.A.L. scowls at him while Ronin shakes his head.
At Borg Tower, P.I.X.A.L. informs her distracted creator of the Crystal King's invasion, asks him to repair Zane, and comments on how little time they have.
When Master Wu contacts the ninja using the Paperkids' radio, P.I.X.A.L. informs him that she is with Zane. She also mentions that she can provide the team with some assistance (i.e. Ronin and his gang in their new mechs provided by Cyrus Borg). However, when Fugi-Dove plays with his mech and hits Killow and Ronin, P.I.X.A.L. remarks that she “do(es) not know how reliable they will be,”.
Later, P.I.X.A.L. aids Ultra Violet with her mech. When Ultra Violet declares that she could “take down those stupid ninja” with it, P.I.X.A.L. frowns at her. Seeing P.I.X.A.L.’s expression, Ultra Violet hastily backtracks, assuring her that she will “only save lives and be good.” Then, Fugi-Dove asks P.I.X.A.L. if his new name (Mecha-Dove), catchphrase (“My whirring servos fill the night!”) , and "new moves" are awesome after nearly crushing P.I.X.A.L. and crashing his mech into one of Dr. Borg’s computer screens. She hesitates before nodding. P.I.X.A.L. also attempts to help Killow control his mech before Cyrus Borg asks for her.
P.I.X.A.L. inquires about Zane’s condition and Cyrus Borg compares it to a coma. When P.I.X.A.L. remarks how some “...coma patients are known to recover,”, Dr. Borg tells her that since Zane is a nindroid, that may not be the case. P.I.X.A.L. informs him that she understands and asks him to try the best he can to bring Zane online.
Before departing with the others to fight the Crystal Army, P.I.X.A.L. checks once more to see if Zane regained consciousness. After no response, she tells the team that she will say her goodbyes to Zane before leaving Borg Tower with them.
P.I.X.A.L. holds Zane’s hand and voices a heartfelt farewell to him regarding how much he has done for her and means to her. She recalls how Zane gave her half of his heart during the Overlord’s previous invasion and taught her to feel human emotions, including love. She promises to return to him after the battle if she survives. If not, she tells him she will meet him in the afterlife, if such a place exists for nindroids. P.I.X.A.L. gives him a final hug and kiss before turning to leave with the others.
Before P.I.X.A.L. and Ronin’s gang depart, Zane’s eyes glow, signifying his emergence from the coma, and he asks for P.I.X.A.L. She turns in shock and leaps into his arms, exclaiming her joy at his awakening. When Dr. Borg asks Zane how he arose from his coma, Zane replies that P.I.X.A.L.’s voice helped him remember and tells her that she “...brought him back,”.
Their reunion brings a smile to Dr. Borg's and Ronin’s faces and moves Killow and Fugi/Mecha-Dove to tears.
Annoyed by the length of this interaction and Fugi/Mecha-Dove’s sobbing, Ultra Violet groans and asks P.I.X.A.L. if she’s ready to leave.
P.I.X.A.L. then contacts Minipix Seven, asking them to bring the Ninja Ultra Combo Mech to the battlefield. Afterwards, she declares that she is ready to fight.
Outside the Paperkids’ Warehouse, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane greet Garmadon and the other ninja who had just returned from their respective missions. Inside, the samurai watches the ninja attempt and fail to achieve their Dragon Forms alongside Wu, Garmadon, and the Paperkids.
Cyrus Borg calls the ninja over the Paperkids’ radio and P.I.X.A.L. answers. Dr. Borg tells her and the ninja that the Overlord knows their location and sent his army to confront them.
Later, P.I.X.A.L. moves Killow’s mech with a remote control and gives it to Lloyd to fight the Crystal King with Garmadon. She then hugs Lloyd after he thanks her, wishes him luck, and departs to help the others defend the Paperkids’ Warehouse from the Crystal Army.
P.I.X.A.L. joins the team on a rooftop where they meet Lloyd, Garmadon, and Harumi on the Golden Ultra Dragon. P.I.X.A.L. rebuilds the Monastery with the others and is last shown carrying a bathtub with Zane.
Following the defeat of the Crystal King, P.I.X.A.L. traveled with Zane to the Samurai X Cave in the Sea of Sand (as the one in the Monastery was destroyed) to devise a way to return Zane’s powers to him. Over the course of a few weeks, P.I.X.A.L. created a machine that allowed Zane to travel inside his memories and relive them as an outside observer. P.I.X.A.L. heled Zane activate and use the machine, monitoring and communicating with him while he traveled inside his memories.
Later, when Zane encountered a memory of himself as the Ice Emperor, she removed him from the memory at his request and encouraged him, giving him the confidence to return to his memories and face his fear. After Zane fought his inner demons, forgave himself, and regains his powers, P.I.X.A.L. celebrated with him, though noted that the machine was too dangerous to be used by any of the other powerless Ninja.
During the beginning of the Merge, P.I.X.A.L. piloted the Bounty by remote, helping the Ninja protect the citizens of Ninjago in the chaos.[8] Following the unification of the realms, P.I.X.A.L. dissappeared, making her whereabouts and fate unknown.
P.I.X.A.L. is activated for the first time since The Merge when Zane releases her from her techno-cocoon. She learns from Zane that years have transpired since she has seen him and the ninja, Master Wu's disappearance, and that the ninja have recruited new ninja (Arin, Sora, Riyu, and Wyldfyre) to join them in their adventures. Zane then tells her how much he has missed her and they hold hands until they are interrupted by Rapton and his Freebooters who discover them inside the train.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane defend themselves from the Freebooters who believe that P.I.X.A.L. belongs to them because they stole the techno-cocoon that she was in. While fighting, Zane confesses how much he has missed her presence over the years. And while P.I.X.A.L. is slightly confused by his emotion (as she has not yet fully comprehended the passage of time) she is pleased that he missed her.
Soon, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane evade the Freebooters and lock them inside the train. Before they jump off of it, Nokt and the Dragonians arrive. P.I.X.A.L. and Zane decide to stop them when they hear that they are searching for a prismatic blade and that they plan to kill everyone on board. After a fierce battle, Nokt ends up taking the blade from them and leaves with the Dragonians but not before a Dragonian damages the train, causing it to accelerate out of control.
After Zane stops the train manually, saving everyone on board, P.I.X.A.L. runs to him as he collapses in pain. She pleads with him to wake up. When he does, she says that he is severely damaged and requires repair.
P.I.X.A.L. instructs Zane to save his energy while she works to repair him. She searches the wreckage of the Freebooters' train for supplies and Rapton attempts to stop her. P.I.X.A.L. then reminds him that Rapton and his Freebooters should not only let her use their equipment but help her repair Zane as he has saved their lives.
After Zane is repaired, he and P.I.X.A.L. find Zanth. P.I.X.A.L. rides Zanth while Zane flies using his new body. They reunite with Lloyd, Frak, Sora, and Riyu who are fighting Zarkt and Dragonians for a prismatic blade. P.I.X.A.L. hugs Lloyd before she defends him from Zarkt, defeating him in combat. When Zarkt and the Dragonians retreat, P.I.X.A.L. hugs Lloyd a second time and promises that she will explain how Zane found her and why he has a new, large body.
P.I.X.A.L. stood alongside her allies as they inspected the prismatic blade in their possession. Although she expressed visible shock when Sora and Riyu were teleported away to parts unknown, P.I.X.A.L. did not dwell on their disappearance and likewise had no reaction when the two returned some time later. Afterwards, she listened as Sora spoke about her and Riyu's confrontation with Rox and the newly discovered objectives of the Forbidden Five.
As P.I.X.A.L., Zane, Lloyd, Frak, Sora, Riyu, and Zanth go to the First Realm's Monastery, P.I.X.A.L. asks Zane about his theory that every realm acquired a monastery after The Merge. She asks him why he has not gone exploring. When Zane responds that did not because he enjoys learning new things more when he shares it with her, and so he did he did not explore because she was not there. She grabs his hand and replies that she is here now. After this, Lloyd interrupts and Zane activates the portal.
In the Ninjago Monastery, P.I.X.A.L. reunites with Kai and Nya, hugging the latter. After discussion, P.I.X.A.L. tells the group that she and Zane can find a way to locate the final prismatic blade to stop the Forbidden 5 from acquiring it to awaken Thunderfang.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane work together to upgrade the prismatic blade in their possession with technology that can locate the final blade while Frak and Lloyd watch them. Frak comments that their process is "like a graceful dance" as they leap and pass the blade to each other while building it. After it is completed, Zane states that he cannot operate at peak efficiency without her, to which P.I.X.A.L. replies that that is "the sweetest thing (he) has ever said." Zane starts to ask P.I.X.A.L. a question. Before he finishes, P.I.X.A.L. replies "yes." When Zane speaks to his confusion at her quick response, she then asks if he meant to ask her if she wanted to explore the Merged Realms with him after they defeat the Forbidden Five. When he confirms this, she repeats her original answer.
P.I.X.A.L. then accompanies the ninja to the World Forest (in her new car that Sora built for her) where they find Arin and Ras with the final prismatic blade.
P.I.X.A.L. assists Zane and Lloyd in powering up the portal gate in the Ninjago Monastery to reach the portal in the First Realm's Monastery in order to stop Drix from delivering the final prismatic blades to Thunderfang to release him.
P.I.X.A.L. assists the ninja in battling Thunderfang using her Samurai-X car. Once Arin defeats him, she reunites with her friends and celebrates with them at the Ninjago Monastery.
When Zane describes his plan of fixing the Portal Gate beneath the Monastery to the other ninja, Zane mentions P.I.X.A.L. Zane hopes that if he can reactivate the gate, he can find her and the other missing ninja.
While attempting to repair the Monastery's Portal Gate, Zane tapes a photograph of P.I.X.A.L. to a broom, carries it around with him, and talks to it as if she can hear him. Zane appears to imagine her responses to his questions as he pauses and reacts to them.
Intelligent George mentions P.I.X.A.L. on his broadcast when he wonders aloud where she, Master Wu, Cole, and Jay could be as they still have not been found since the Merge.
Zane mentions P.I.X.A.L. when talking to Frak and Sora about his unsuccessful attempts at locating her, Arin, and the Forbidden 5. He calls her the "smartest" and "most attractive" member of the team.
P.I.X.A.L. was created by Cyrus Borg to be his assistant and to help him run his company, Borg Industries. Unlike Zane and his creator, Dr. Julien, P.I.X.A.L. and Dr. Borg appear to have a mainly professional relationship, absent of aspects typical of a familial bond. However, as time passes, their undeniable concern for one another is revealed.
In "The Curse of the Golden Master", P.I.X.A.L. confesses her desire to be with Zane to Dr. Borg. In addition, she expresses her reluctance to abandon her creator despite her new feelings by stating her confusion as to who she belongs to (Cyrus Borg for creating her or Zane for saving her). Borg assures P.I.X.A.L. that that he would not interfere with her decision and that she does not belong to anyone, revealing his perception of her as an individual, not simply a creation constructed to serve him.
Later in "Enter the Digiverse", P.I.X.A.L. expresses sorrow when her creator is abducted by Nindroids and undoubtedly considers helping him before he orders her to remain with and protect the Ninja. After the Ninja complete their mission, P.I.X.A.L. gazes at Cyrus’s abandoned wheelchair solemnly, indicating her care for the wellbeing of her creator.
In "The Invitation", Cyrus Borg states that he hasn’t seen or spoken to “...P.I.X.A.L. since Zane’s memorial… (and that) It’s heartbreaking,” to Lloyd and Wu. This brief comment reveals his concern for P.I.X.A.L. and her feelings in the wake of Zane’s sacrifice in Rebooted.
After being installed into Zane's systems during the Tournament of Elements, P.I.X.A.L. most likely remained in contact with Cyrus Borg.
As Samurai X, P.I.X.A.L. was determined to save her creator from the Time Twins and their Vermillion horde. She was successful in her mission and stood by his side, as the ninja defeated their foes. Borg most likely did not know P.I.X.A.L. was his savior at the time.
P.I.X.A.L. was distraught when Borg was found frozen by the Oni, and a statement by Nya referring to Borg as P.I.X.A.L.'s father indicates that the Ninja and (possibly) P.I.X.A.L. see Borg as such.
In Prime Empire, P.I.X.A.L. visited her creator in Borg Industries with the Ninja. Unlike her friends, she clasped her hands behind her back, indicating her respect for her creator and that a part of her may still see him as an authority (instead of a parental) figure.
While it is unclear whether or not P.I.X.A.L. and Dr. Borg see each other as family, they undoubtedly care for one another.
“Zane. I was once just a Nindroid. A machine. And then, long ago, in a different battle, you gave up half your power source to save me. In that moment, you changed me. I felt things I never felt before. I felt love. For you. Our friends need us now, and I must go to battle. If I am able, I will return. I do not know if there is anything after this life for beings such as you or I, but if there is, I will find you there. Goodbye, my Zane.”
Zane first encountered P.I.X.A.L. when he and the other ninja arrived at Cyrus Borg's building and he felt an attraction towards her and she was confused by his functioning. During the conflict with The Overlord, P.I.X.A.L. accompanied and soon broke free from her basic programming to help Zane. Her actions brought time for the ninja, though her power source caused her to shut down, to Zane's sadness. However, she would be given half of Zane's power source to save her and would begin to feel human emotions with both saying the other was vital to them. Indeed, they would often come to the other's aid on many occasions after the Cryptor and the Nindroids attack. Their attraction was noted by a few characters such as Edna, Nya, and Kai, who all expressed happiness at Zane having found someone so special to him. When Zane sacrificed himself, P.I.X.A.L. was the one who took his death notably hard, to the point where she didn't attend his funeral. Because of this, she would be the first person to see him reconstruct himself in a new updated body, and smiled greatly when he revealed his presence to her in the Borg Industries computers by asking if they were now compatible.
In between Seasons 3 and 4, the two were captured by Ronin and brought to Chen, who held them prisoner on his secluded island to draw out the other ninja. In the early stages of the fourth season, Zane in his imprison state was amnesiac, and it was P.I.X.A.L. who guided him back to his memories while telling him she was a friend. The return of his memory is signaled by Zane asking P.I.X.A.L. if they are compatible, which she affirms. When Zane broke out, he was disheartened to learn that P.I.X.A.L. had been dismantled. Despite P.I.X.A.L.'s urging to leave without her, he refused to abandon her, placing her memory card into his system and allowing her to continue the journey with him—audible only as a voice inside his head, and visible in his field of vision as a small image on a screen. It was P.I.X.A.L. who helped Zane in conquering his fears and unlocking his dragon.
P.I.X.A.L. would continue offering aid to Zane in his later fights such as with Morro. During Skybound, when Zane came face to face with Nadakhan, P.I.X.A.L. tried to warn him of the consequence, but he ignored her warning. He came to regret his choice when Nadakhan removed her from his processor, which left him distraught at the thought of living without her and forced him to make his last wish for it to go away. Due to Jay's last wish, Zane was reunited with P.I.X.A.L. and would continue to ask for her input in later adventures.
In Season 7: The Hands of Time, when an attack by the Time Twins put Zane offline, P.I.X.A.L. expresses worry and tries to wake him. When Zane was reactivated by Nya, he was confused by P.I.X.A.L. not responding to him and became sad as he realized he was alone.
He overcame this grief in Season 8: Sons of Garmadon, as she soon returned to him. He was later shocked to see her in her new samurai gear and learn she was the new Samurai X, the vigilante hero. P.I.X.A.L. spoke to Zane where she asked him if he was upset that she was no longer in his head. To her surprise, Zane stated said he likes seeing her with a body again and told P.I.X.A.L. that he was fine with her being Samurai X as it made her happy, which left her touched as they promised to be honest and not to keep secrets from each other.
In "Big Trouble, Little Ninjago," P.I.X.A.L. was under the impression that Zane was dead and was sad at his loss. She was unaware he was transported to another realm.
In "Firstbourne," P.I.X.A.L. is sad about losing her companion and wants to honor his memory by continuing to fight. However, she learns that he was instead teleported to somewhere after she and the others find a piece of a leaf for traveler's tea and were happy Zane was still alive.
P.I.X.A.L and Zane reunited
In "Green Destiny," P.I.X.A.L. hears that Zane and the ninja have returned and breaks out of custody to see him again. She is reunited with him and they hug after peace is restored to Ninjago. After the conflict, they hold hands at the celebration.
After Zane's sacrifice to defeat Aspheera in "Vengeance is Mine!," she was very devastated to lose him again and broke down at his fate.
During "A Cold Goodbye," P.I.X.A.L. has a nightmare of Zane's fate before waking up screaming and looking at a portrait of them together. She spoke with the ninja on the loss, before a frantic Wu came in and told her Zane was still alive. P.I.X.A.L. was surprised but overjoyed to learn that her companion was okay but worried about the dangers of the Never-Realm.
In "The Kaiju Protocol," she tells Wu to inform Zane that she loves him if she fails to defeat The Preeminent, admitting how much she valued Zane.
During "Awakenings," the ninja found Zane and returned home, with her giving him a big hug in their reunion.
P.I.X.A.L. questioning Zane about his peculiar speech and attire
In the following season, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane search for Milton Dyer together in Ninjago City. In "Ninjago Confidential", Zane dresses as and pretends to be a detective, claiming that “this method has to work,”. P.I.X.A.L. expresses her confusion at Zane’s roleplaying, but hesitantly “plays along”.
P.I.X.A.L. moving Zane away from the angered patrons
P.I.X.A.L. protects Zane when a number of the patrons at Laughy’s are insulted by his “detective narration” and he declares happily that P.I.X.A.L. “…had saved (his) nindroid bacon,”.
P.I.X.A.L. voicing her annoyance to Zane
Later, P.I.X.A.L. voices her irritation with Zane’s role-playing. He then speaks to his belief that she secretly loves it. P.I.X.A.L. then asserts that “(Her) heart did not reveal that” and “Every part of (her) is annoyed,” while glaring at him. When they investigate Buddy’s Pizza for Dyer, the Mechanic kidnaps Zane. P.I.X.A.L. becomes worried and saddened by Zane's disappearance. Upon spotting Zane’s abandoned detective hat, P.I.X.A.L. groans before donning it, adopting Zane’s “detective theory” and showing that she appreciates her companion even when his “acting” peeves her.
P.I.X.A.L. wearing Zane's fedora
When P.I.X.A.L. later finds the Mechanic forcing Zane to power his Manifestation Gate, she quickly moves to help him. She battles the Mechanic’s thugs alone before attempting to free Zane from the portal machine. She eventually does so with Jay’s help and expresses her relief when Zane survives the Gate's effects.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane work together to topple a lamppost onto a Whack Rat’s car and seize it to travel to Borg Industries. Later, when the Ninja are released from Prime Empire, Zane and P.I.X.A.L. link arms and greet their friends.
In “The Call of The Deep”, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane investigate a distress call together. After P.I.X.A.L.’s mech crashes into the ocean, Zane attempts to help her with a grappling hook but fails. They both try to contact each other to no success. When P.I.X.A.L. regains power and safely breaches the surface, Zane expresses his happiness.
In “Unsinkable”, the pair joins Jay, Nya, and Lloyd to investigate a mysterious signal in the Tartarus Trench. Zane henceforth pretends to be a pirate (similar to his detective roleplaying in “Ninjago Confidential'') and P.I.X.A.L. sighs in response.
In “The Fall of the Monastery”, P.I.X.A.L. is reassured when Zane contacts her following the explosion in the abandoned N-Line. Similarly, in “Darkness Within”, Zane anxiously asks Nya if P.I.X.A.L. is alright after learning of the Crystal Council’s attack on the Monastery. When he arrives at Nya’s old Samurai X cave in the same episode, P.I.X.A.L. hugs him and asks if he was injured in the recent events. He replies that he “...is fine,” and holds her hand.
In “Return of the Ice Emperor”, P.I.X.A.L. searches for Zane in the streets of Ninjago City after learning that his jet crashed while battling the Crystal King’s dragonides. She finds him grievously injured and carries him on her back. When they become surrounded by Crystal Warriors, P.I.X.A.L. senses that this may be their last moment together and then tells Zane that she loves him for the first time. For a brief moment, Zane’s cloaking technology glitches and reveals Zane’s real, beaming face, indicating that a part of him understood her message. However, the dismantled Zane dismisses her comment due to his damaged memory banks. While P.I.X.A.L. feels annoyance at his behavior, she recognizes his need for assistance. When they are subsequently rescued by Ronin and his gang, they travel to Borg Tower. When they arrive, P.I.X.A.L. asks her creator to help her repair Zane.
In “Compatible”, P.I.X.A.L. inquires about Zane’s condition and Cyrus Borg compares it to a coma. When P.I.X.A.L. remarks how some “...coma patients are known to recover,” Dr.
Before P.I.X.A.L. and Ronin’s gang depart, Zane emerges from his coma and asks for P.I.X.A.L.
Borg's and Ronin’s faces and moves Killow and Fugi-Dove to tears. P.I.X.A.L. and Zane subsequently travel to the Paperkids’ Warehouse with Ronin’s gang to defend it from the Crystal Army.
In “Dragon Form”, When Mister F chases P.I.X.A.L. on his dragonide, Zane intervenes and battles him, resulting in Mister F’s defeat. Later, Zane and P.I.X.A.L. embrace after defeating more members of the Crystal Army.
In “Roots”, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane rebuild the Monastery with the others and are last seen carrying a bathtub together.
After The Merge, P.I.X.A.L. was among the ones that were missing, leaving Zane saddened when he came back in the team. He tried to find her by trying to operate the Portal gate and taped a photo of her to a broom and would talk to it as if she were around.
P.I.X.A.L. and Zane reunited after the Merge
In "The Great Zane Robbery," Zane found Pixal in a Techno-cocoon and woke her up. He explained to her how much he struggled in his time without her, and that her voice was the thing that kept him going when things seemed hopeless.
The couple spends as much time together as possible before Thunderfang's release and planned to go exploring the Merged Lands together to make up for lost time. They began their adventure in ballon in "The Hollow Ones".
P.I.X.A.L. celebrating with the ninja and friends.
The ninja were accepting of her and supported Zane's affections to her in Season 3.
During Season 4, they were amazed that P.I.X.A.L. is now integrated into Zane's system and helped them with strategies. Since she was installed in Zane's system, P.I.X.A.L. started working with the ninja, even though she could not fight with them.
In "Dead Man's Squall," P.I.X.A.L. revealed her status as Samurai X as they were surprised at this. While being controlled, she fought the ninja, winning the battle and destroying one of the Bounty's engines. After regaining control, P.I.X.A.L. officially joined the team as Samurai X and promised to devote herself to the work of protecting Ninjago alongside them.
In "Big Trouble, Little Ninjago," P.I.X.A.L. was under the impression that her friends were dead and were sad at their loss. She was unaware they were transported to another realm.
In "Firstbourne," P.I.X.A.L. continues to help Lloyd and the others but is sad about losing her other friends. However, she learns that they were instead teleported to somewhere after she and the other find a piece of a leaf for traveler's tea.
During "The Gilded Path," P.I.X.A.L. continued fighting by the remaining ninja's side when they were attacked by Garmadon. When Garmadon was attempting to crush Lloyd's group, she intervened on her friends' behalf. Her interference had allowed Lloyd's group to escape the enemy, even though she was captured by their enemies.
In "Green Destiny," while imprisoned P.I.X.A.L. hears that the rest of the ninja returned and was happy to hear this before she breaks out of custody to see them again. She offers them aid in taking down the Colossus and celebrates peace being restored to the city with her friends.
In "A Cold Goodbye," after she wakes up from a nightmare about Zane’s supposed death they comfort her about their loss until Wu comes in and reveals that Zane is alive. She later helps them in detaining their master and traveling to the Never-Realm but concerned after she hears the danger of the area.
During "Awakenings," she was elated with them returning home with Zane.
After Nya was merged with the Endless Sea, she was a guest at Nya's memorial, mourning at the loss of her friend.
When The Merge happened the ninja and P.I.X.A.L. were lost in the Merged Realms. At the time of "The Temple of the Dragon Cores" the team was reconstituted but Jay, Cole, Master Wu and P.I.X.A.L. were still missing so the present ninja wanted to find them.
When P.I.X.A.L. finally reunited with the ninja after Zane find her, her friends were very happy to see her, especialy Lloyd who hugged her twice and express his joy at meet her again, as well as Nya who also threw herself into P.I.X.A.L.'s arms when she saw her enter in the Dragon stables behind the others in "Their Draconic Majesty's Request". P.I.X.A.L. also met the new ninja for the first time.
She and the old master get along and show themselves to be friends.
They first meet in Season 3 and faintly acquainted after that.
In Season 8, she is informed of the ninja that Wu has become an infant and agreed with Zane's theory of him returning to his proper age.
During "A Cold Goodbye," P.I.X.A.L. learns from frantic Wu that Zane was still alive. P.I.X.A.L. was surprised but overjoyed to learn that her companion was okay but worried about the dangers of the Never-Realm. When Wu forbade the ninja from trying to go there, she helped the ninja in stealing the Scrolls of Forbidden Spinjitzu from him after tying him up.
During "The Kaiju Protocol," she and Wu try to open a portal to the Never-Realm to retrieve the ninja. However, their actions end up releasing the Preeminent, which proceeds to attack the city. While P.I.X.A.L. goes to stop the creature, Wu stays behind to open a portal to the Departed Realm. When she is overwhelmed by the beast she was also using drastic measures, as Wu tries to warn her of the danger of what could happen but after she defeats the creature he is relieved. The pair then proceed to regain hope of rescuing the ninja.
During "Awakenings," she alerts him of a portal opening and they watch as the ninja return home.
When the Crystal Council attacked in "The Fall of the Monastery", P.I.X.A.L. called on the MiniPix to help and they readily began to fire upon the Council using the lasers P.I.X.A.L. equipped them with. The MiniPix were willing to risk themselves for their creator and her friends, showcasing their loyalty.
MiniPix Seven is one of P.I.X.A.L.'s creations/assistants.
P.I.X.A.L. designed and built the MiniPix (including MiniPix Seven) to assist her in building vehicles and weapons for the Ninja. After the Crystal Council attacked the Monastery and knocked P.I.X.A.L., Wu, Nya, and Skylor unconscious, MiniPix Seven briefly paused to repair herself before dragging Wu, Skylor, and their creator to the elevator and outside the Monastery, delivering them safely out of the Crystal Spiders' bombs blast radius. However, due to the amount of debris covering Nya, MiniPix Seven failed to locate her.
A damaged MiniPix Seven waiting with P.I.X.A.L. outside the Monastery
At some point between “The Fall of the Monastery” and “Darkness Within”, P.I.X.A.L., MiniPix Seven, Master Wu, and Skylor travel to Nya’s old Samurai X Cave. P.I.X.A.L. decides to give MiniPix Seven their name in honor of their effort in saving her, Master Wu, and Skylor from the Monastery. They then work with Master Wu to restart the old Samurai X Cave’s computers. When the Ninja return from their incident in the abandoned N-line, P.I.X.A.L. proudly introduces them to MiniPix Seven.
In “A Lesson in Anger”, P.I.X.A.L. and MiniPix Seven upgrade the Ninja’s vehicles, “coating them in a nano-tech-polymer” which allows them to draw power from Crystal Temple (instead of being weakened by it) and activate a special power boost.
In “Compatible”, P.I.X.A.L. contacts MiniPix Seven from her communicator and asks them to bring the Ninja Ultra Combo Mech to the battlefield and they readily agree.
In “Dragon Form”, MiniPix Seven successfully delivers the mech to P.I.X.A.L. and she both exclaim their happiness in reuniting with one another.
P.I.X.A.L. first encounters Dyer on the roof of Buddy’s Pizza while she was masquerading as a detective in order to find him. Soon after, they both realize that Dyer’s creation (the Artificial Intelligence running Prime Empire) was in fact the “villain” Unagami who sought to trap people in the game and escape into the real world of Ninjago.
Soon after, P.I.X.A.L. shows Dyer the Prime Empire console in Buddy’s Pizza to the latter’s shock and he recounts the story of how Scott got trapped in Prime Empire. Dyer soon remarks that he thought Unagami was only a harmless program and that he couldn’t have known Unagami was alive because machines don’t experience real emotions, only simulations of them. To this, P.I.X.A.L. angrily replies that emotions of “sufficiently advanced programs” are no less real than those of humans.
Soon, Master Wu sends P.I.X.A.L. a panic signal from his communicator and she rushes to help him. Before she departs, Milton Dyer asks if she should call the police, as the situation sounds dangerous. However, P.I.X.A.L. replies, “My friends are in danger. There’s no time!” Before following her, Dyer appears perplexed that P.I.X.A.L., being an android, can conceive of and form friendships with others.
At the Mechanic's warehouse, Dyer is soon astounded by P.I.X.A.L.’s expressions of concern for the captured Zane and Wu and remarks how she must be programmed incredibly well to simulate feelings so accurately. To this, P.I.X.A.L. replies: “Why can you not understand? Any sufficiently advanced program like Unagami, like myself, is no less real than you.”
When the Mechanic begins to torture Zane, P.I.X.A.L. leaps down from the rafters to rescue him, despite being outnumbered by the Mechanic’s thugs and Dyer’s awe at this prompts him to call her “Incredible.”
Later, Dyer assists P.I.X.A.L. by uniting Master Wu during her battle with the Mechanic’s thugs.
Because of P.I.X.A.L., Dyer was able to accept that advanced technological beings are in fact sentient and have the realizations that motivated him to apologize to and connect with Unagami.
P.I.X.A.L. and Ronin first interacted between the events of “The Titanium Ninja” and “The Invitation”. Ronin was ordered to kidnap Zane for Chen and discovered P.I.X.A.L. with the newly-built nindroid in Borg Industries. Ronin abducted them but felt slightly guilty for doing so. However, the threat of Chen and Clouse hurting his family motivated him enough to complete the task, despite his unease (Source: Way of the Departed, Chapter 22).
Ronin’s actions led to P.I.X.A.L. being scrapped by Chen, Zane’s imprisonment and loss of his elemental powers, and the Ninja’s engagement in the Tournament of Elements. While it is unclear how P.I.X.A.L. felt about Ronin specifically, she was adamant about how she wanted Zane to stop Chen (Ronin’s “boss”). In addition, she felt deeply saddened about being dismantled and unable to join Zane and the other Ninja in leaving Chen’s Island (She later overcame those feelings almost entirely when Zane’s actions allowed her to travel with him and leave the island as a part of his circuitry).
In "Public Enemy Number One", while P.I.X.A.L. was guiding Zane as an AI program in his processor, Ronin hacked into Zane remotely to capture him for the Police Commissioner. In doing so, the bounty hunter disabled both him and P.I.X.A.L., preventing Zane from fighting back and P.I.X.A.L. from protecting her companion electronically, marking the second instance Ronin deliberately attacked P.I.X.A.L.
P.I.X.A.L. and Ronin appear not to interact face-to-face again until many years later when the Crystal King, his Council, and his Army overran Ninjago. When P.I.X.A.L. and a damaged Zane were surrounded by Crystal Warriors, Ronin rammed a hijacked prison bus into them, saving her and Zane. Ronin then told her how he inspired the inmates to rise up against the Crystal Army. P.I.X.A.L. was shocked at Ronin’s change of heart but soon grew to see him as an ally and even created a battle mech for him with her creator’s help.
Ronin in the mech P.I.X.A.L. & Borg built for him
Ronin beamed when P.I.X.A.L. was reunited with a (now functioning) Zane in “Compatible” and clasped Cyrus Borg’s shoulder in happiness.
Chen and Clouse employed Ronin to capture Zane and he ended up abducting P.I.X.A.L. as well. When the two nindroids arrived on Chen's Island, Chen had P.I.X.A.L. dismantled and locked her and Zane in adjacent cells.
As revealed in “Versus”, P.I.X.A.L. felt deeply saddened about being scrapped (though she later overcame those feelings) and adamantly declared (to Zane) that the actions of Chen and his Anacondrai Cultists must be prevented by him and the Ninja. One could infer that P.I.X.A.L. held anger for Chen and the Anacondrai cultists due to their malicious treatment of her, holding Zane hostage, using Zane to bait her Ninja friends to participate in the Tournament of Elements, plotting and almost succeeding to initiate a massive war, and harm her friends by stealing their elemental powers.
As Samurai X, P.I.X.A.L. would often face them and stop them from picking on others. Unbeknownst to her, Harumi was their leader the Quiet One, and took control of P.I.X.A.L. to make her attack the ninja. She was freed from the control and help the ninja face them.
When Garmadon was resurrected, P.I.X.A.L. joined the resistance to battle them for control of the city. However, she was captured and placed in Kryptarium Prison but broke out after hearing the ninja returned.
