The worn-down apartment is an old apartment where the ninja briefly moved into after losing the Destiny's Bounty to the Great Devourer, before switching to Grand Sensei Dareth's Mojo Dojo.

Darkness Shall Rise[]
After connecting with Patty Keys, a local real estate agent, the ninja were shown the worn-down apartment as their first option. Patty attempted to gloss over its obviously derelict state by describing it as being a "One bedroom, one half bath" apartment, and that "Who needs extras when everything is within arm's reach?" Despite her efforts, her clients were not impressed and she flatly remarked that she was trying to work with the ninja's budget, and that this worn-down apartment was all they could afford. After the ninja requested a nicer place however, Patty complied with their request and brought them to another apartment.
Some time later, after being unable to meet their rent on the hero's suite, the ninja opted to move into the worn-down apartment, with Cole reiterating Patty's earlier description as they moved in.
Pirates vs. Ninja[]
The ninja took turns training Lloyd within the worn-down apartment, with the latest session with Kai focusing on throwing punches. After Lloyd moved to the rooftop to learn the basics of dragon riding from Nya, the rest of the ninja and Wu discussed the possibility of looking for a larger place to train Lloyd in, as the apartment was too small to train him efficiently.
