The Castaway[1] is an individual who was marooned to the Land of Lee following the Merge.

The Screaming Earth (flashback)[]
Following the Merge, the Castaway found himself drifting in the ocean in a barrel until he reached the Land of Lee, where he was greeted by the surprised sole inhabitant, he told the curious Lees that there were other places outside of the former realm.
The Castaway began to spent time with the Lees, and played games with them, and told them about the outside world. He later left the Land of Lee to find the people he began to miss. The Castaway arrival and departure motivated Lee to make his own perfect society that would discourage people from leaving.

- Although he shares the same design of an algae farmer, the farmers appear to have led in their own secluded society in a realm parallel to Ninjago, while the Castaway had his own drawings of theme parks, which are currently only known to exist in Ninjago.
