The Land of Monsters[]
Kai and his allies encountered the Chironograx on the way to the Great Watering Hole, where the monster was muttering repeatedly to itself that it was so lonely. Chironograx explained to Kai and his allies that while it was a monster on the outside, it was not one on the inside and expressed how the inability of others to see this made life feel lonely at times. When Kai expressed his sympathies, Chrionograx misunderstood Kai's comments and insensitively suggested that Kai was not much of a looker himself either. Chironograx then agreed to join Kai and his allies on their journey to the Great Watering Hole, noting that many of its clan had also disappeared in the area.
After arriving at the Great Watering Hole, Rexa was pulled underground, prompting Chironograx to start digging to find her. To its surprise, Chironograx discovered an entire underground lair populated by Monster insects who had been responsible for the disappearances of other monsters across the Land of Monsters. After learning of the insects' plans to force another eruption of the Great Volcano to end all life across the Merged Lands save for insects, Chironograx took part in fighting back against them. During the battle, Chironograx expressed it was "really hungry" as it lifted a pair of monster insects into the air.
Following the defeat of the Monster insects, Chrionograx waved goodbye to Kai as he parted ways to continue his journey to escape from the Land of Monsters.
