Giant piranhas are massive piranhas that live in a river in the Wyldness.

While participating in a training exercise near the Training plateau of the Dragon Masters, Arin, Lloyd, Kai, and Nya found themselves riding atop of logs floating in the middle of a vast lake. Here, they encountered several giant piranhas which attempted to eat the ninja by diving out from underneath the surface. Although the piranhas' jaws were strong enough to snap tree trunks into splinters, they had a weakness in the form of the inadvertent creation of a large bubble on the surface near their intended prey, thus telegraphing their attacks. Ultimately, the ninja were able to escape the piranhas, which Nya washed away with a massive wave thanks to her mastery over Water.
