Exhausted from their long journey, the ninja stumble upon a village with a water storage facility on their way to Stiix, but soon learn from the locals that the water supply system is out of order. The heroes decide to stay and help the villagers restore the pumping system, while also finding whoever sabotaged it. After repairing the pipes and pumps, the heroes hide in the town and wait for nightfall. But that night, they are attacked by locals who can't remember anything when the ninja knock them down. When the heroes encounter the village chief, who tries to run them over with his car, they learn that a ghost has been possessing the villagers. The villain explains that even ghosts need a home, and so they are trying to drive away the locals to occupy their settlement. During the ensuing battle, Kai smashes the pipes he repaired, and the gushing water scares off the enemy. He hides on a nearby hill, from where Morro has been watching. The Wind Master is disappointed, but assures his assistant that they will defeat the ninja very soon.
Search for the Scroll[]
The ninja decide to steal the Scroll of Airjitzu from Ronin, as they lack the money to buy it. Sneaking into the shop at night, the heroes explore. Jay approaches the organ, only to find the pipes of the instrument, possessed by a ghost, wrapped around him. Cole throws a bucket of water at the organ, and the ghost flies out, freeing Jay. But then Morro and several other ghosts appear in the shop and begin attacking the ninja. Kai notices the bound Ronin and frees him, who gives the heroes the Aeroblades, which are capable of damaging ghosts. While the ninja fight off his minions, Morro corners Ronin. Ronin attempts to escape with the scroll on the R.E.K.S.E., but the Master of Wind uses the power of the elements to retrieve the artifact. Morro then flees to the docks, studies the writing, and escapes the ninja using Airjitzu. Kai, meanwhile, learns from Ronin that there is another way to learn new combat techniques.
Flight of the Ninja[]
Having obtained the Scroll of Airjitzu, the ninja attempt to learn to fly aboard the Destiny's Bounty. However, neither Jay, Kai, nor Zane are able to take off properly. The trio of ninja repeatedly crash into the ship's mast, deck, and sails. When Cole climbs to the surface and asks his friends to ease up, Jay recalls Wu's words about not being able to control everything in the world. He explains this to his comrades and, allowing the power of Airjitzu to take control, successfully flies over the nearby mountains. While Kai and Zane continue their attempts, Jay notices the ship's dire condition and asks Cole for help.
