Plot
Plot[]
Clash at Sea[]
Soto and his crew are transporting a cargo of exotic fruits on Destiny's Bounty. The ship enters a thick fog, and although the captain realizes that this is not a good sign, the crew continues on their journey. Suddenly, Misfortune's Keep, a legendary ship captained by Nadakhan the djinn, emerges from the fog. The djinn's crew immediately opens fire, and Soto notices Clancee and his captain on the enemy vessel. The djinn offers to spare the pirates if they surrender without a fight. However, Soto does not trust him and refuses. The captain orders a return fire, and soon watches in horror as Dogshank stops the cannonballs fired by his crew.
When the ships are close enough, Nadakan's crew climbs onto Soto's ship. During the hand-to-hand combat, the captain attempts to make a joke, but Doubloon and Monkey Wretch remain silent. The djinn decides to play a trick on Soto in return: Destiny's Bounty suddenly becomes way heavier and sinks. In order to save the ship, Soto wishes for it to be able to fly like a seagull. The ship is now able to fly, but it begins to act like a bird and dives into the water to catch fish. The captain's second wish prevents the ship from sinking, but it loses its sails.
Nadakan suggests using the third wish, but instead, Soto threatens to blow up a large shipment of gunpowder and sends No-Eyed Pete to the hold with a torch. After a few seconds of contemplation, the djinn decides not to push his luck and takes his crew away with the ship. At this time, No-Eyed Pete returns and reports to Soto that, by the captain's order, he set fire to the boxes of bananas, as he was unable to find the gunpowder. Soto hurries to put down the fire.
If Pirates Were Meant to Fly[]
The sky pirates are busy repairing the ship and trying to figure out how to get it into the air to fulfill Nadakhan's orders. Dogshank suggests kicking the vessel, and Wretch gestures with his hands, prompting Clancy to come up with the idea of attaching wings to the ship. The others agree with Serpentine and begin crafting wooden wings. The bandits then drag the frigate up a nearby hill, but they are unable to get it to take off. Wretch begins to gesture with his hands again, and this time Clancee realizes the monkey is suggesting balloons. The pirates sew two large balloons from the stolen fabric, but now they have trouble inflating them: no one except Dogshank can do it, and the mighty warrior's excessive strength causes the fabric to simply tear.
As the pirates exchange more ideas, Flintlocke spots a plane in the sky above Ninjago City. The observation proves useful: the crew realizes what they need to do next and steals several engines from an airfield near the city. After numerous failed attempts to connect and start the engines, Flintlocke finally manages to get the ship airborne. However, as the vessel begins to lose altitude, the pirate realizes he has no idea how to control it. Clancy and Dogshank manage to leap onto the deck just as the frigate nearly crashes into the ground and stop it by landing it on the water. Serpentine rejoices and suggests they try again.
Ninja Hunt[]
Cole goes to the police station and voluntarily surrenders. When the police ask about the other ninja, the master of earth decides to tell them that the heroes have split up. Meanwhile, Kai makes his way through the streets and stumbles upon a crowd of people who turn out to be his fans and want to take a photo with a wanted criminal. Kai pretends to be the brother of the red ninja of the same name, who makes a living impersonating other people. When he impersonates Sensei Wu and then offers free admission to the evening's performance, the people believe him and let him go.
Jay hides for several hours in the window of a shop selling ninja souvenirs, pretending to be a mannequin. The more time passes, the more itchy his body becomes and the more he needs to sneeze. Finally, he comes down and changes the sign, calling himself "Jay the sneezing figurine," and then allows himself to sneeze. However, this only attracts the attention of passersby, who begin to enter the store. Meanwhile, in another part of the city, Zane is walking down the street selling soft drinks. When a police officer stops him, the Nindroid reveals that it is not Zane, but Borg Industries' latest innovation, the Zane-O-Matic mobile refrigerator. The officer takes the raspberry ice cream and lets the robot go.
Cole finishes his story, revealing that the ninja must gather at the docks. He suggests gathering every police officer in the city, as otherwise they won't be able to handle a whole team of criminals. The police commissioner agrees, and when the entire police force arrives at the docks, Cole uses the power of the earth to incapacitate them all simultaneously, then escapes. Nadakhan, watching from a nearby rooftop, is furious and promises that the team of heroes will soon be behind bars.
