Trivia
Trivia[]
- The original cover of the book depicted Kai in his Ghost Hunter suit.
- While the book tries to tie its events with the Monstrosity series, all stories have errors not corresponding with the shorts. However, despite having contradictions, the Fire Master's story can still fit into the timeline with some assumptions:
- The book implies that the "Cave of Spider Monsters" is the Cave of Change,[3] and that the Fire Master went there to fight the spider monsters that trap people in cocoons instead of looking for missing people that the centipede monster consumed.
- To make the story fit with canon, it can be assumed that the two stories are independent from each other, and that the Fire Master went to the Cave of Change at a later point in time.
- The book implies that the "Cave of Spider Monsters" is the Cave of Change,[3] and that the Fire Master went there to fight the spider monsters that trap people in cocoons instead of looking for missing people that the centipede monster consumed.
- It is implied that Rusty was not the only mech from his time, as the Fire Master asked if he would prefer to be called by his serial number instead.
Errors
Errors[]
- Similar to Tales from the Merged Realms, the Destiny's Bounty uses its Dragons Rising appearance instead of its original appearance.
- Kai hallucinates Nya in her Merge suit, while she would only start to wear it in "Writers of Destiny."
- In the book, Kai travels to the Land of Monsters after reuniting with Lloyd, however, the Monstrosity shorts take place right after the Merge.[4]
- While it is technically possible for Kai to return to the Land of Monsters in search of his friends, the book heavily implies to be the first time Kai visits the Land of Monsters.
- In the book, Daidan didn't originate from the Land of Monsters and moved there after the Merge. However, this information doesn't fit in the timeline, due to Kai returning to the Monastery of Spinjitzu only weeks after the Merge, which would mean that Daidan's child's egg would have been laid and hatched, and afterwards eaten by the Daidarabotchi in an extremely short period of time.
- The book also implies that the Daidarabotchi consumed Daidan's eggs instead of her child.
- Another inconsistency, Daidan never told about more children, only the one that appeared in Monstrosity.
