Shadow Bay was recreated when Garmadon raised the Dark Island from the depths of the Endless Sea.
The Day Ninjago Stood Still[]
Garmadon overlooked Shadow Bay as he climbed up towards No Man's Bluff to reach the Celestial Clock. After reaching the top and being bestowed with the Helmet of Shadows, Garmadon turned towards the bay and declared that he was back.
Island of Darkness[]
Following the Stone Army's defeat to the Ninja at the Temple of Light, Garmadon gazed out towards Shadow Bay from No Man's Bluff as he conversed with The Overlord.
The Last Hope[]
In the early morning hours, just a few hours before the Final Battle, Garmadon stood at No Man's Bluff, looking out towards Shadow Bay with solemn eyes. After being reinforced by the Overlord that he would have to fight and defeat his son, Garmadon returned to his campsite.
Later that day, in the evening hours as the sun set upon the horizon, the Ninja found themselves landing in the waters of Shadow Bay after failing to stop the Final Battle by returning the Helmet of Shadows to the Celestial Clock. With the Final Battle now upon them, the Ninja regrouped along the shores of the Bay to make their final preparations.
Return of the Overlord[]
With the Celestial Clock now ticked to zero, the Horns of Destruction reverberated across the bay as beams of energy were released from the Clock into the Mouth of Eternal Shadows, signaling the completion of Garmatron.
By nightfall, Garmadon's forces made their way to the coastline on the edge of Shadow Bay where they fought against the Ninja and succeeded in launching Dark Matter at Ninjago, tipping the scales of balance towards darkness. With the balance now destroyed, the Overlord was able to possess Garmadon's body and cross over to Ninjago. Although Lloyd attempted to fight the primordial being of Darkness along the shoreline, he would ultimately be defeated and the Overlord's forces were able to cross over to Ninjago, leaving the Ninja stranded on the Dark Island.
Rise of the Spinjitzu Master[]
Stranded along the shores of Shadow Bay, the Ninja sat around as they lamented their circumstances. While Dr. Julien tended to Lloyd's broken leg, the other four expressed their feelings in frustrations in different ways. Jay for example remained focused on Nya, who had been corrupted by Dark Matter and left with the Overlord's forces, while Kai silently considered every possible way to escape the Dark Island, even going as far as to begin wading into the bay's waters to begin swimming across the Endless Sea. After the Falcon returned however, the Ninja left the Bay and followed its guidance back to the Temple of Light.

Dark Island Trilogy - Part 1[]
After a sudden hurricane took down the Destiny's Bounty and scattered the Ninja across the Dark Island, Jay and Nya found themselves together and alone along the shores of Shadow Bay. Along the beaches, Jay discovered discarded tools and parts of scrap - indicators that someone had been here before them and had been building something. After grabbing some pieces of scrap to use as makeshift weapons, the pair began traversing the shores until they reached No Man's Bluff.
