The medallion is a compass used to find the Temple of Light.

Wu handed Dr. Julien the medallion and Dr. Julien claimed it was the compass to find the Temple of Light. Later, Jay started playing with it and spotting trees until he accidentally found where the Temple of Light was hidden. When the three holes align with the mountain peaks, it shows the bearer where the Temple of Light is located.

  • It's implied Dr. Julien learned of the medallion during his imprisonment at Lighthouse Island. When Dr. Julien was asked how he knew about the medallion's properties, he stated that he did a lot of reading in his spare time, with adventure stories being his favorite.
  • The medallion is similar to the lantern from Skybound in that they are both seemingly normal objects with a hidden way to locate a fabled location.
