Zane's memorial was an event that took place during the aftermath of the Nindroid crisis. After Zane sacrificed himself to defeat the Overlord, Cyrus Borg hosted the memorial in Zane's honor. Kai gave a heartfelt speech to those who attended.

Prelude[]
After the Final Battle, the Overlord lay dormant on the spot he was defeated. At least, that was until Cyrus Borg built Borg Tower over it as a message to warn all evil doers. Unfortunately for Cyrus Borg, the Overlord was able to speed up his recovery process by infecting the Digiverse as a virus, letting him control the entire network of New Ninjago City. Fortunately for Cyrus Borg, he realized that the Overlord could be erased from the system using four Techno Blades. Cyrus Borg quickly sent out an invitation to Wu's Academy to schedule a meeting with the ninja.[1]
The chain of events that follows leads to the Overlord melting the Weapons of Spinjitzu to form the Golden Armor, in return, becoming the Golden Master. After Wu and Garmadon's plan to stop the Overlord failed, Zane sacrificed himself in a last ditch effort to save Ninjago.[2]
Memorial[]
Following Zane's sacrifice, Borg gave a speech at Ninjago Park on how he had thought technology was the best way to solve problems, but instead, it caused more. He then named Zane the Titanium Ninja and revealed a statue built in his honor. Kai then gave a euology in which he claimed that while no one knew what powered Zane, he thought it was brotherhood as that was how Zane powered him. When he finished the speech, snow began to fall.[2] Nya then commented that Zane would have loved his statue.[3]
