The machete is a weapon owned by Kai. It was presumably given to him by the Geckles in the Dungeons of Shintaro.

The Darkest Hour[]
When the Skull Sorcerer and Grief-Bringer attacked the Geckle Strong-Cave, Kai used the machete to defend the stronhold against the Re-Awakened along with Lloyd, Jay, and Zane. However, when he and the other ninja surrendered to spare the Geckles and Munces' lives, the machete was dropped along with the other weapons.
