A wyconium coil is a coil made of wyconium that can analyze a portal gate. These coils were difficult to acquire in Ninjago but after The Merge, these coils became part of the Crossroads.

Wyldly Inappropriate[]
While scanning the Portal gate under the Monastery of Spinjitzu, Zane realized his scanner needed a new wyconium coil. Alfonzo Frohicky took him to Kreel's junkyard where they eventually got a new coil thanks to a gift card they won at Zane Day.
The Administration (flashback)[]
Before Zane was arrested by two Administration Agents, Zane was using the new coil to scan the portal gate.
