Crossroads

History[]

Background[]

When the Merge united the Sixteen Realms and Ninjago, several homes throughout the realms disappeared during the Merge. As a result, the Crossroads were established on the very spot where Arin's neighborhood once stood, which was also the heart of the Merged Realms. Situated outside of Ninjago City, the Crossroads became the largest neighboring community within the metropolitan area. Locals from across the Merged Realms started to live there after losing their homes, while some of the inhabitants decided to relocate there for their own reasons.^[5]

Dragons Rising, Season 1[]

The Merge: Part 1[]

Arin and Sora scavenged for parts in the junkyard before returning to the heart of the Crossroads to the penthouse they resided in. As they walked through the streets, the teenagers greeted some of their neighbors and navigated the otherwise chaotic pace of life in the bustling streets.

The next day, they partook in the annual Mech Master 5000 where a chance meeting with a baby dragon would change their lives forever.

Crossroads Carnival[]

After a rough first day of training, Arin and Sora sneaked out of the Monastery of Spinjitzu and made their way alongside Riyu to the Crossroads, for tonight was the annual Crossroads Carnival! Upon their arrival, the teenagers marveled at the various sights and oddities on display and entered one of Arin's pies into the annual pie-baking contest.

Moments later however, they witnessed Lobbo being accosted by several of Kreel's Whack Rats, prompting the teenagers to intervene. Elsewhere, Lloyd discovered his students' disappearances and rushed down to the Crossroads himself to look for them.

When Arin and Sora learned that Kreel's friend, Targle, had been kidnapped, they offered to look for him in exchange for Kreel agreeing to leave Lobbo alone. Their search ultimately led them to Dorama's theater where they discovered that the beloved pyrotechnician and showman was behind Targle's kidnapping. Meanwhile, Lloyd had made his way to the carnival and discovered a tent that served as a memorial honoring the Ninja, whom many believed were still missing or worse since the Merge. Feeling a restored sense of hope, Lloyd continued to search for his missing students and ultimately discovered them inside Dorama's theater, locked in battle with a giant puppet.

After defeating Dorama and his puppet, Lloyd apologized to his students for being rough to them on their first day of training and agreed to let them enjoy the carnival - but not without the reminder that their training resumed tomorrow at the crack of dawn!

Return to Imperium[]

In the junkyard, the ninja tried to save a Lightning Dragon from the Claws of Imperium. During the battle, Rapton activated a Photac, much to Sora's shock. The ninja tried fight off against the Photac, only for it to overpower them. As the Claws of Imperium left with the dragon, Sora told Arin that she should go back to Imperium.

Wyldly Inappropriate[]

Needing to get a new wyconium coil, Zane and Mr. Frohicky head to the junkyard, now under Kreel's ownership, but are thrown out, due to money insufficiency.

They later head to the center, where Zane Day was occurring before Zane registers for the Zane-a-like contest. However, having been deactivated, presumed missing, and depleting skills, he came dead last. However, Gulch hands him a gift card to Kreel's Junkyard as a consolation prize.

The Power Within[]

The MergeQuake Storm begins in the Crossroads, where the Ninja hurry there, and Lloyd uses the Dragon Cores to stop the MergeQuake storm, where the citizens learn their heroes have returned.

The Elemental Mechs[]

What the Mech?[]

While Kreel was recording a commercial for her junkyard, the ninja came and said she can't sell that stuff. During this, Lobbo picked up a device, causing him to drain the energy from it and grow big. As the other ninja tried to fight Lobbo, Sora made elemental mechs out of Chronosteel. With the help of the mechs, the ninja were able to hold Lobbo and drain the energy from him, returning him back to normal. Then Kreel attempted to move the dangerous items with the intention of selling someone else, only for Cole to stop him.

The Mech Master[]

The ninja attended the annual Mech Master 5000 race, during which The Mechanic attempted to steal the racing mechs. Using their new elemental mechs, Kai, Sora, and Cole combated the Mechanic, though it would ultimately be Sora who put an end to his heist in the outskirts of the Crossroads. With the Mechanic defeated, the ninja enjoyed several pies as they continued wandering about the day's festivities.

A Pain in the Mech![]

The Crossroads noodle cook-off is disrupted by Ice Dragons, who attack the Crossroads in retaliation for Lava-Tony and his sous-chefs stealing their eggs for their secret ingredient, until Kai, Cole, and Sora subdue both parties, and Arin and Riyu discovering the eggs before the latter sends Lava-Tony crashing into an oven, which explodes and splattered noodles all over, resulting in a week's worth of cleaning up.

Dragons Rising, Season 2[]

The Blood Moon[]

A building in the Crossroads was on fire as Zane and Nya attempt to put it out, and Sora and Riyu get the residents to safety.

Later, Riyu helps Kai and Wyldfyre get Fugi-Dove and a cat down from a tree.

After founding her junkyard in a mess, Kreel called Arin and Sora and explain them the situation. Arin suggested that this the work of the Night Ghost, only to realize how silly it sounds. Kreel suggested that these break-ins are probably because of she is going upscale, having a diverse junkyard where she has antique weapons, ancient artifacts, and rare treasures. She also included that her junkyard isn't only one like this. Then she took a selfie with Arin and Sora.

Later, Sora, Arin and Riyu walked in the through the Crossroads, asking everyone about the Night Ghost, but to no avail. While they were checking the antiques shops they know about, they noticed the grand opening of the All-Realm Antiques Emporium, thinking that's the Night Ghost's new target. While they were waiting for the Night Ghost, Cinder arrived and entered the All-Realm Antiques Emporium through turning into smoke, making Arin realize that he is the Elemental Master of Smoke. As Cinder exited the antiques shop with a mallet, the ninja ambushed him, only for Cinder to summon two Wolf Mask Warriors. As Cinder gave the mallet to the Wolf Mask Warriors, Arin and Sora tried to catch them, only for Cinder intervene. During the fight, Lloyd arrives and sees the Wolf Mask Warriors, causing him to remember his visions about them as Cinder escapes with the Wolf Masks Warriors after throwing a smoke bomb at the ninja, knocking them away.

Shattered Dreams[]

To get more information about the mallet Cinder stole, the ninja visited Fedulian in his antiques shop. However, Fedulian said he doesn't know anything about it. Finding suspicious, the ninja climbed to the rooftop to watch him, where they found out he actually got the mallet from Hantro as he was warning her about the ninja. Thankfully, Sora was able recognize Hantro's current location.

To Mysterium[]

Bonzle, Zane and Cole went to the Crossroads to find a map of the Merged Lands while disguising themselves. While walking around, they stopped in the All-Realm Antiques Emporium where they were greeted by Fedulian. After Fedulian showed them a disco toaster, Cole asked him if he has a trustworthy map of the Merged Lands, which Fedulian gave them for free. After they left, Fedulian called someone, saying that he has new guesses.

Enter the City of Temples[]

While Tox was admiring a plant, she got an invitation to the Tournament of the Sources by Messenger Dragons.

At night, some Lava-Tides tried to steal a mech from Kreel's Junkyard, only for Wyldfyre and Nya to stop them. Then Nya started talking to Wyldfyre about her training and Kai's sacrifice.

Dragons Rising, Season 3[]

The Missing[]

Sora was riding Riyu in the Crossroads, giving pies to people, only for them to find the pies disgusting. Thinking that it can't be that bad, Sora tasted one of them, only to vomit.

The Spectral Lands[]

Kai, Nya and Wyldfyre were asking people about Jay, but to no avail. Then Kai suggests that instead of finding Jay, maybe Jay can find them and leads the ninja to Lobbo's Totally Rad Arcade, Lobbo-Lobbo, thinking that if he beats Jay's high-score in Galamorph X-Post, he can make Jay come from anywhere in the Merged Lands and take back his top spot. After beating his top score, Kai and the ninja waited for Jay to come, but to no avail. But then they noticed that someone is controlling the arcade cabinet from far away and shortly after, they realize it's really Jay.

The Great Zane Robbery[]

At night, Fedulian was pussing a cart outside of his store. After seeing the ninja star the Rogue threw, he met him in the alleyway where the Rogue gave him an Oni chalice in exchange of money. As the Rogue was about to left, Fedulian passed him a message, saying that someone else wants to contract his services.

I Alone Can Save Them[]

As the ninja was trying to understand how Jay controlled the arcade cabinet from far away, a Messenger Dragon came and gave a message to Wyldfyre. After reading the message, Wyldfyre find out that the City of Temples was attacked and Roby was hurt, showing it to Kai and Nya.

Between You and Lee[]

Rontu and Riyu continued their training at Kreel's Junkyard. After Kreel came, she found the place in a mess. Rontu said they are responsible for this. However, Kreel allowed them to continue since she was hired to demolish all that junk.

Dragons Rising, Season 4[]

Seed and Soil[]

Jenny and Barry went to the Crossroads to find the supplies Frohicky wanted from them, impressed by the neighborhood. As they were talking about what they should do, a Fire Monster appeared and attacked the Crossroads. The couple tried to get people to safety. After some time, the Fire Monster disappeared, leaving the place in a mess.

Just Under the Surface[]

After hearing about the Fire Monster, Cole went to the Crossroads to investigate it. As he was asking questions to citizens, he noticed a Loyalist scanning the area and chased him. During the chase, the Loyalists dropped boxes on him and continued to run away. After citizens saved him, Cole realized the Loyalist escaped, thinking that this could a part of a bigger mystery.
