While Garmadon is on the hunt to kidnap Lloyd to stop fulfilling the prophecy, the Ninja are training in Mojo Dojo to be prepared for the final battle.
During the training, Lloyd came in and suggested to go to today's Comic Con. Cole was against it, but Jay convinced him by saying that it's important to rest.
At the event, the ninja found out that a lot of people here are dressed up as serpentine. This allowed Fangtom, Fang-Suei, Mezmo and Lasha to blend into the group to create an army of hypnotized people to hunt the Ninja. Their plan worked: gathering everyone in one place, Mezmo used hypnosis on entire crowd. Hypnotized cosplayers attacked the Ninja, and they ran away. However, they found the real serpentine and started fighting for a Hypnobrai Staff that Lasha was holding. Cole defeated him, and after the ninja mocked him for having no friends, he ran away with the others on a Fangpyre Truck.
After un-hypnotizing people with staff, Cole still wasn't sure that he get this whole comic con thing. However, he changed his mind when he met real Cliff Gordon.

- Fangtom is seen working for Garmadon despite the fact that at that time, he was with the other Serpentine generals.
- Jay seems to know the name of the actor who plays Fritz Donnegan. However, in the show, he learned it for the first time only in "On a Wish and a Prayer".
