Lightning Lagoon

The Lightning Lagoon^[1] is an inland sea located inside the Storm belt and near the Island of the Keepers. The lagoon is hit by a series of never-ending thunderstorms hence its name.

As the Ninja sailed closer to the Island of the Keepers aboard their catamarans, they sailed through Lightning Lagoon to reach the island's shores.

The Keepers of the Amulet[]

When Cole asked if anyone brought food, Jay replied that he did, but lost it in the Lightning Lagoon when he and the others were crossing to the Island of the Keepers.

Later, the Keepers took the ninja across the Lightning Lagoon to take them to Mammatus.

Brought to the Lightning Lagoon, the ninja were ordered to participate in the Keepers' ritualistic sailing contest. As they set sail in a race against several Rumble Keepers, Nya realized that the Keepers were able to boost the speed of their catamarans by harnessing the lagoon's namesake lightning with their spears. When Nya tried to follow suit, she found herself nearly fried instead. Passing along the spear to Cole, the two were able to boost themselves enough to reach the end of the race, but finished in dead last. Fortunately, the ritual was not simply about finishing first, but rather to prove that one could handle the lagoon's lightning.
