Overview

“Still and clear, an agent of stasis. To freeze a moment or shape itself to a piercing point.”
Glen Lakin on Bluesky[1]

Ice is one of the four main elements of Creation, and is derived from the Source Dragon of Focus.[1] It is associated with the colors white and light blue and corresponds with the Shurikens of Ice, the Titanium Dragon, Boreal, the Ice Behemoth, the Blizzard Samurai and the Golden Ultra Dragon.

Users' abilities

Users' abilities[]

  • Cryokinesis/Glaciokinesis - The user can create, generate, and manipulate ice.
    • Cryokinetic Constructs - The user can create objects out of ice (armor, barriers, escape routes, etc).
      • Cryo-Flyrogenesis - The user can create shields of varying shapes and sizes out of ice.
        • Elemental Shield - The user can create an Ice elemental shield.
          • Radiation Resistance - The user's elemental shield can resist the radiation from entering the planet's atmosphere.
          • Space Survivability - The user's elemental shield likely allows them to survive in the vacuum of space, as seen in "The Titanium Ninja" while the Ninja were about to enter their planet's atmosphere.
      • Cryokinetic Imprisonment - The user is able to create a clear prison made of ice shaped like an igloo to trap enemies.[3] As seen in "Return of the Overlord", the user can sometimes do this by using other materials to cage the opponent(s).
    • Cryokinetic Attacks - The user can attack using Ice.
      • Ice Storm Creation - As demonstrated by Wu using the Shurikens of Ice, the user can create an ice storm that puts out fires.
        • Snow Generation - The user can create snow with their ice storm.
      • Cryokinetic Blast - As demonstrated by the former Elemental Master of Ice or by Zane or the Shurikens of Ice, the user can release ice over a specific target area, causing great damage and/or delivering great shock waves of pure force.
      • Cryokinetic/Frigiokinetic Beam Emission - The user can produce powerful beam(s) of ice or cold that freezes everything instantly. In "Can of Worms", Zane used the Shurikens of Ice to freeze the entire sewer hallway, causing the Serpentine to slip.
      • Cryokinetic Sphere Projection - The user can create balls of ice to freeze everything that will come in contact.[4]
      • Ice Bolt Projection - The user can create and project bolts of ice and control the intensity/power of their projectiles.
        • Shard Generation - Users like Zane can shoot their ice bolts as shards.
      • Ice Wall Generation - As demonstrated by Zane in "The Battle of the Second Monastery", the user can create a wall of ice from nothing or by shaping the existing ice.
      • Cryokinetic Surface - The user can create a path of ice on a solid surface to either cause the opponent to slip and fall or to freeze the opponent(s).
        • Ice Spike Projection - The user can create icicles from the ground[5] or shoot them as a melee attack.[6]
        • Cryokinetic Surfing - The user can create a path made of ice to surf on for transportation.[7][8]
      • Cryokinetic Infusion - The user can infuse objects (usually a weapon) with ice, empowering and energizing them and allowing the user to manipulate their qualities and efficiency.
        • Ice Strike - The user can supercharge their strikes with ice to have more power in physical attacks. They can even channel the power of Ice to freeze opponents that they attack.

        • Cryokinetic Touch/Freezing - The user can freeze anything or anyone via touching the target with their hands.
          • Damage Inducement/Shattering - The user can induce damage to objects by freezing them to make them more brittle and shatter.[9]
          • Power Negation - The user can use ice to neutralize powers.[10]
    • Cryokinetic Flight - The user can propel themselves up with ice (possibly only in an environment with low gravity).[11]
      • Propulsive Flight - The user is able to fly when using more power than usual through jet propulsion.[12]
    • Underwater Ice Manipulation - The user can create and manipulate ice underwater. Zane used this in "Long Live the King" to hold off the Ripper Sharks.
  • Cryo-Pyrokinesis - The user can create, generate, and manipulate sparkling ice-like flames, which can possibly be released as balls, blasts, beams, or vortexes of ice-fire.[13]
  • Cryo-Aerokinesis - The user is capable of controlling and generating a cold air or wind to blow something.[14]
  • Dragon Creation - The user can create an Ice Dragon.

Via the Scrolls of Forbidden Spinjitzu[]

  • Elemental Creation - Allows the user to create things alive out of Ice and control them. Zane used this to make and control the Blizzard Sword Masters, Blizzard Archers, and Boreal.
  • Cryo-Telekinesis - The user can use ice to control, move, or manipulate objects.[15]
  • Corrupted/Dark Ice Manipulation - As shown by Zane and Boreal, they can create, shape, and manipulate corrupted ice. Whenever the ice is created, it is in control of the creator. As mentioned by Sorla, the Dark Ice served Vex and allowed him to monitor what was currently happening through his ice shard.
    • Mentokinesis - The user's ice can manipulate other people's minds.[15] Cole and Lloyd noticed this when fighting a Blizzard Warrior and saw that the ice was controlling their actions.
      • Corruption Inducement - The user can create ice that corrupts those it touches. Zane used this to control the Blizzard Warriors.
      • Clairvoyance/Remote Viewing - Using the crystal shard, one can spy on someone else even if they are far away. It can even look through one's point of view and likely be used to sense dangers or directions like a compass.
        • Telepathic Communication - The Crystal enables its viewers to telepathically communicate with someone when they are looking through their point of view. This is evidenced by Vex when he telepathically ordered Boreal to bring Lloyd alive to the Ice Emperor.
    • Enhanced Power Negation - When Ice is corrupted, its ability to negate powers is enhanced, therefore shown to be like Vengestone and can cancel out the Shapeshifting abilities of the Formlings and neutralize other Elemental Powers.

Via the users' True Potential[]

  • Cryokinetic Body - The user can temporarily transform their body into ice.
    • Frigiokinesis - The user can manipulate cold by reducing the kinetic energy of atoms, meaning they effectively make things colder, ranging from slightly chilly levels to absolute zero.
      • Blizzard Creation/Eternal Winter Inducement - The user can create a massive blizzard by generating enough cold and ice to the point of causing a never-ending winter. In "Corruption," with the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu in his scepter, Zane was able to freeze the Never-Realm in a harsh eternal winter.
        • Cold Inducement - By causing an eternal winter, the user can make the entire area cold.
      • Cryokinetic Wave Emission - User can release waves, spirals, rings, pulse, blasts, balls, and bursts of ice/cold and use them to damage or push.
    • Cryokinetic Vortex Generation - The user can generate vortexes composed of ice.
    • Cryokinetic/Frigiokinetic Immunity - If the user is in a cold or icy area, the user cannot be harmed by or feel cold.
    • Cryokinetic Explosion Inducement - As displayed by Zane in "Once Bitten, Twice Shy," the user can cause an explosion of ice energy that freezes everything in the area.

Corrupted powers[]

  • Cryokinetic Breath - Ice Monsters can shoot ice from their mouth.
  • Cryokinetic Regeneration - Ice Monsters can regenerate lost body parts with ice.

Higher-level powers[]

  • Cryokinesis Bestowal - The user can bestow their Ice powers onto others but at the cost of permanently losing them in the process.
  • Dragon Form - Like the rest of the users of the elements of Creation, Ice Elementals can unlock their Dragon Form, although it can only work through a sense of unity and a sequence of movements.
    • Humanoid Dragon Physiology - Dragon Form will cause the user to become a humanoid dragon.
      • Wing Manifestation - Once in Dragon Form, the user gains wings on their back.
        • Flight - Using said wings, the user can fly.
          • High-Speed Flight - As seen with Zane when he attacked Mister F, some users of Dragon Form can fly at high speeds.
      • Vengestone Immunity - In dragon form, the user's powers are unaffected by Vengestone.
      • Infectious Crystal Immunity - A user of Dragon Form is unaffected by infectious crystals.
      • Enhanced Elemental Powers - A user of Dragon Form has their Elemental Powers heavily enhanced.
      • Purification - A user of Dragon Form can undo corruption from the infectious crystals.
Weaknesses

Weaknesses[]

  • Self-imprisonment - A user can be frozen by their own ice.[16]
  • Underwater environments - Lloyd mentioned that Ice wouldn't be effective underwater.[17] However, Zane was able to create an Ice wall that prevented the Ripper Sharks from finding the Ninja while swimming underwater.
  • Hot environments - The power of Ice is not effective in hot environments, such as deserts as the ice melts immediately.[18]

Symbol

Symbol[]

The symbol of Ice appears to be a wolf. This likely symbolizes Zane's loyalty to his friends, as a wolf would be loyal to its pack.

The symbol of Ice shown in the Tournament of the Sources represents a snowflake.
