Koji is the husband of Ume and father of Aru who lives in the First Land.

History

At some point after the Tournament of the Sources, Koji and his family encountered Arin. Although the teenager offered to run odd jobs for the family in exchange for food, Koji handwaved the boy's offers and instead warmly invited him into their home for dinner. As they ate, Koji was particularly amused by Arin's stories, particularly about Lobbo. After sending off their guest, Koji encouraged Arin to come back any time.

Similar to other members of his family, his design was used from an earlier Ninjago character. What sets him apart is that he is the only one whose design was originally used for another named character, Gus.
He, his wife, and son are the only known human permanent residents of the First Land.
