Overview
The First Land (formerly called the Realm of Oni and Dragons, and also the Land of Oni and Dragons[2] and the First Realm) was the first realm to come into existence among all the realms and is part of the Merged Lands. It is mostly a desert land with some rocky mountains, occasional bodies of water, some woods and at least one volcano. As the name suggests, it is the homeworld of the dragons and their mortal enemies, the Oni. The Oni eventually disappeared with the intent of conquering the realms. This realm is where the First Spinjitzu Master originated from before he fled to create Ninjago.
History

Distant Past[]
The first of all of the realms, in this world, there lived two species of beings: the Oni and the dragons. The dragons had power over creation, and the Oni had power over destruction. Effectively being polar opposites, a seemingly never-ending conflict between the two kinds was sparked that would go on for ages. One day, a child with the powers of both sides was born, who understood the necessity of the roles both the Oni and dragons played in the balance. However, instead of ending the war, the two sides simply fought for control over him in order to win their sides of the battle. Torn between both worlds, the child abandoned his home to start anew. The child went on to become the First Spinjitzu Master, and with his powers, he travelled to another realm where he created an island, Ninjago. By doing this, the Firstbourne was left to guard the Dragon Armor and faithfully waited for him to return to the realm.
A part of the Oni followed the young master in Ninjago to bring him back to the realm and rally him to their cause or kill him.
After the young master left his homeland, the City of Temples shifted to the Realm of Oni and Dragons.[3] However, Thunderfang, furious about being refused of becoming a Source Dragon following the war, unleashed a massive storm on the City of Temples, aiming to annihilate everyone within. Fortunately, the Arc Dragon of Focus stepped in to confront Thunderfang, ultimately defeating him and imprisoning him within a mountain.
Before the City of Temples changed realms, some monks remained in the Realm of Oni and Dragons and over time their descendants developed into the Dragon Hunters.[4]
At some point later, the Oni left the realm and headed to parts unknown. When Iron Baron learned of this, he withheld this fact from the Dragon Hunters to rule over them.
The Ultra Dragon's return[]
Sometime after the Final Battle, the Ultra Dragon returned to the Realm of Oni and Dragons and went to Firstbourne's nest.[5]
It met its end at the hands of the Dragon Hunters, and his skeleton was used for Iron Baron's throne.

Big Trouble, Little Ninjago[]
After using Traveler's Tea given to them by Mystake, Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, and Wu end up in a desolate, sandy island, with ruined ninja uniforms and half of the Destiny's Bounty behind them. When they look over their surroundings, they see dragons and realized they have been transported to the Realm of Oni and Dragons.
Hunted[]
Firstbourne[]
While Kai, Zane, and Jay stayed with the Bounty to fix the radio, Cole and Wu went to look for food.
When Zane gets the radio working, the three of them soon hear something about an ambush and attempt to escape into the fog when they realize that they are the target of the ambush. They get captured, with the wreckage of the Destiny's Bounty being seized, by the Dragon Hunters and taken to Dead's End. Cole and Wu return to find that the Bounty and the other ninja are missing, and they go to find them after discovering tracks on the floor.
Iron & Stone[]
The captive ninja are thrown into the Pit to fight dragon Slab. Cole and Wu, who were disguised as Hunters, helped them by releasing a chain that they use to restrain Slab. Slab tries to attack Jay, but Zane uses his powers to subdue the beast, revealing their identities.
Iron Baron realizes they aren't Oni, since Oni don't have Elemental Powers, and ordered his Hunters to capture them since he realizes they're Elemental Masters.
Radio Free Ninjago[]
The stranded ninja, except for Cole and Wu, are captured by the Hunters and are used as bait to lure dragons. They eventually caught the Wind Dragon.
How to Build a Dragon[]
When the ninja made it back to Dead's End, they created a scheme to build a mechanical Firstbourne as a distraction so they could escape while Iron Baron attempts to catch it. Cole and Wu smuggle parts out of the camp and build the dragon in a mountainous area.
Wu flies the dragon over the hunters camp, prompting them to prepare an attack. However, this ended up summoning the real Firstbourne to attack the camp. After releasing the dragons, the ninja escape, and Iron Baron orders the hunters to find them.
The Gilded Path[]
The ninja noted Wu grew older in his sleep. Wu mentioned his dream about fishing with Garmadon and the First Spinjitzu Master; Heavy Metal overhears this and reveals she's a woman named Faith. She asked if he knows where the Dragon Armor is. Wu pointed to a direction and they set off for the Armor.
When they are approached by Daddy No Legs and Muzzle, the ninja tricked them and were able to tie them up. They stole their vehicles and continued driving toward the armor.
Two Lies, One Truth[]
The Dragon Hunters found Daddy No Legs and Muzzle tied up by Faith and the ninja. They followed them but were defeated when they reached the canyons. The ninja failed to notice a tracking device Jet Jack attached to one of their vehicles.
The ninja reached Oni land and went in to look for the armor. They see the land was abandoned but noticed the gates reveal a map to the Dragon Armor, which is located in Firstbourne's nest.
The Weakest Link[]
The Dragon Hunters stop looking the ninja when they realized they crossed Oni territory. Iron Baron, however, ordered them to cross the land.
When the ninja woke up, Faith handed them chain guns and they start training by chaining up a rock. When they, and Wu, succeeded, they have Wu ride Stormbringer.
When they stopped to look at their map, they realize the Hunters were following them. They were able to defeat them, but Faith has been captured.
Saving Faith[]
The ninja uncovers Faith under the sand but were surrounded by Dragon Hunters. They were tied up, but Wu escapes after recovering his memories. He agrees to take Iron Baron to the Firstbourne's nest to get the Dragon Armor if Iron Baron sends his ninja home, to which Iron Baron agrees. Both of them leave while others remain at camp.
Lessons for a Master[]
After successfully acquiring the Dragon Armor and subsequently the Firstbourne's trust, the ninja and Dragon Master Wu bid farewell to Faith and the other Dragon Hunters before leaving the realm and beginning their journey back to Ninjago on the dragons.
March of the Oni[]
The Darkness Comes[]
Faith and the Firstbourne arrived at Ninjago through a portal, where they fell unconscious near the Monastery of Spinjitzu. A barely conscious Faith whispered to Wu about the Realm of Oni and Dragons being attacked, stating all the Hunters and Dragons were turned to stone by the Oni before she is taken into the monastery to heal.
Endings[]
The Oni arrive at the Realm of Oni and Dragons and are able to easily defeat the dragons and Dragon Hunters. Faith and Firstbourne are the only survivors and flee before the darkness can get them. After the Tornado of Creation was used to defeat the Oni, the darkness was purged from the Realm of Oni and Dragons, freeing the dragons and Dragon Hunters.
Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu[]
The Kaiju Protocol[]
While trying to open a portal to the Never-Realm, Wu and P.I.X.A.L. concluded the Traveler's Tea was not strong enough. They add more leaves, and instead, opened several portals to different realms, including the Realm of Oni and Dragons.
Dragons Rising, Season 1[]
During the Merge, the Realm of Oni and Dragons was merged with the rest of the realms. As a result of this unification, similar to the fate of all realms, the Realm of Oni and Dragons ceased to be recognized as a distinct realm and was renamed the First Land.
At some point following the Merge, Ras hid the Super Storm Jet in the First Land as part of a contingency.[6]

Elements of Betrayal[]
When Nokt abducted Ras and stepped through the portal gate to the Cloud Kingdom, Arin chased after the Forbidden Five. However, just as Arin entered the portal, Nokt destroyed the gate to escape from being followed. This triggered a massive explosion, scattering those who had entered into different lands, leaving Arin and Ras stuck in the First Land. There, Arin set up a campfire and made a promise to help Ras recover, convinced that Ras was his only hope in locating his parents, especially since he felt let down by the ninja who he believed had failed him.

The Spectral Lands[]
In the First Land, Arin trains with Ras. During the training, Arin tries to do Object Spinjitzu, but fails. Then he and Ras have a brief talk about the Ninja and Wu. When Ras starts coughing, Arin starts carrying him on his back.
Later, Arin takes Ras to the border where the Spectral Lands is, while he goes to the Well of the Lost to get the healing elixir that can help Ras.
At night the Forbidden Five arrive at the Storm Village to find Thunderfang's prison. After finding the prison, the Five make a deal with Thunderfang and they bring a Sobrient Stone, the Shatter Dragon gave them. Nokt breaks the gem which corrupted the Dragonian villagers into armored warriors and empowers the Forbidden Five with the ability to fly.
The Great Zane Robbery[]
Zane continues to search for Arin while riding Zanth. The two spot a Monastery, just like their own and Zane concludes this is the First Land Monastery with its own portal gate. When Zane enters he finds Rapton and the Freebooters stealing supplies, which Zane recognizes one of objects as a techno-cocoon. Thanks to Zanth, Zane manages to get onto the train and spots the cocoon. Opening the cocoon, Zane finds P.I.X.A.L., who he updates that since the Merge, which was apparently caused by Master Wu the realms have merged. The two are interrupted by Rapton but the pair escape only for Zane to stop Nokt and several dragon warriors flying to them. Hearing Nokt was after a blade, Zane and P.I.X.A.L. went back in where Zane found a Red Prismatic Blade, which is similar to one he had previously saw. Zane and P.I.X.A.L. team up with Rapton and the Freebooters to fight Nokt and the Dragonian Warrioris but Nokt claims the Prismatic Blade and escapes while having one of his warriors destroy the train controllers to make it go fast and crash.
I Alone Can Save Them[]
Lloyd, Sora, and Frak continue to follow Riyu, who leads them to Zarkt and the corrupted Dragonian Warriors, including Tyr. When Tyr finds the Ninja, the group learns that the Forbidden Five are hunting for a blade like their Blue Prismatic Blade, but don't know why.
Fallen Wishes[]
While the ninja are examining the prismatic blade, Sora and Riyu got teleported by Arrakore to Djinjago. Which leaved the others in shock.
Later, Arrakore sends Sora and Riyu back to the First Land, where Sora accidentally falls on top of Lloyd. She then starts explaining why Forbidden Five wants the blades for themselves.
Their Draconic Majesty's Request[]
To go back to the Monastery of Spinjitzu, ninja went to the First Land Monastery. Before using the monastery's portal gate, P.I.X.A.L. and Zane had a brief talk, but they stopped when they saw their friends are waiting their conversation to end. After that, they used the portal gate.
Chaos Unchained[]
Thunderfang in his prison senses that Drix has aquired the final Prismatic Blades and shouts at the Source Dragons labeling them as "cosmic frauds" and saying that despite being denied his "deserved" honor he would soon be free.
In the Monastery, Lloyd, Zane and P.I.X.A.L. works on a machine to increase the power up the portal gate. After Zane and P.I.X.A.L. increases the power of the portal gate with the machine, Ninja goes back to the First Land to stop the Forbidden Five from freeing Thunderfang from its prison.
Later, Ninja arrives at the Storm Mountain, they notice the Winds of Chaos and they realize Drix still haven't arrived. When they finally see Drix coming with the Dragonian Trackers and Ras, Lloyd flies towards them, which surprises Drix a lot. He says that it's impossible for Ninja to have beaten him to the prison, unaware that they had used the portal gate, and he states that it was impossible for them to beat him here. Then, he and the Ninja start to fight for the blade.
Realizing Ninja is too hard for him to beat, Drix spits a bug out of his mouth which goes to alert the rest of Forbidden Five. Which leads other members to help him. During the middle of the battle, they arrive and attack the Ninja. Drix brings last two Prismatic Blades to Nokt, but Nokt pushes him aside and takes Ras and his hammer. Rox tries to tell him to focus on the battle, but Nokt ignores her. Then he throws Ras to the ground, frees him from the vine, gives his hammer back. Then they start fighting.
Later in the battle, Arin obtains the last blades, and Lloyd tells him to go to Monastery. But he sees Nokt fighting with Ras, which leads him to help Ras. Right about when Nokt is about to kill Ras, Arin knocks him with the dragon-headed drone and saves Ras. Then he faces Nokt. Seeing this, Lloyd tries to help Arin, only to get knocked by Rox. While Arin and Nokt is having a talk, Rox knocks Arin from back, and Nokt kicks him using Shatterspin. Rox then takes the two blades. Nokt jumps and does Shatterspin to kick Arin into the tornado.
After the Five reclaim the Prismatic Blades, they fly into the Winds of Chaos to distract the Ninja and head into the cave of the Chaos Dragon's prison, The Ninja fly in as well but, the winds were too strong and were caught into them, After flying into the tornado, Nokt fires a ball of Brute Force to cause some of the rocks to get caught in the winds. In Thunderfang's prison, Zarkt uses the Blue Prismatic Blade to cut the chain of his right hind leg, and Drix uses the Returning Blade to cut the neck harness chain. With Thunderfang free, Rox demands the dark powers that he had promised them, However Thunderfang derided the five animals as fools, expressing his disbelief in their naivety in trusting him and revealing that he never intended to honor his end of the deal. With the five animals shocked and angered by their master's betrayal, Thunderfang proceeds to consume their souls, killing them and having their dead bodies drop on the floor of his prison. With Thunderfang's chains broken, he begins to ascend from the depths of his prison to exact vengeance against the Merged Realms once more.

After Thunderfang's defeat, all of the souls returned back to their owners with a soul energy wave. While this was happening, the First Land was briefly seen.

- It is the homeland of the First Spinjitzu Master, a being born of both Oni and dragon descent.
- It is also home to the Firstbourne, the mother of all dragons and possessor of every Elemental Power that her children possess.
- Three of the named entities originating from this land are referred to as "first" or "last" in some way: the First Spinjitzu Master, Firstbourne, and the Omega (Omega being the last letter of the Greek alphabet).
- The realm is divided into territories, as seen with Oni land.[11] However, it remains unclear whether this division applies solely to the Oni and the dragons, or if it encompasses the other species.
- The Realm of Oni and Dragons in Season 11 is re-used footage from "Big Trouble, Little Ninjago."
- According to Chris "Doc" Wyatt, the First Land plays a key role in the origin of the realms and maintains a connection to the Source Dragons.[12]
